It's because you have the abs pump making a shit ton of pressure. Bri, was it hard to push your calipers back in when you replaced the brake pads?

Yes it was. ABS light is on. Would it help if I pull the fuse. Doubt I will be able to get an appointment to figure out what is wrong with the...

So where did our system break down? What went wrong? At what level do we asign blame?

Root cause. China not informing the world about it and WHO/China covering it up.

China shipped covid-19 positive immigrants to Italy and Italy declared hug a chinese day.

You can't make this shit up. LOL.

I pretty much agree with everything except to say that if you want to accept that homemade masks should be used on the infinitesimally small chance they "may" work then we should also stop driving and no longer have any form of interstate commerce. This will almost guarantee that the 22,000+ people that will die in California from transportation related pollution (every year) will now live. The nationwide total is 200,000+ every year..............but let's not inconvenience anyone.

I wear N95 if I cannot social distance or if I feel I can social distance, I will use a single use surgical, and indeed use it once.

When You did the brakes did the rotors have rust build up on them as if the truck had been sitting for a long time?

But other countries got the same shitty warning. I agree that China kept it under wraps and plan to capitalize on the aftermath of it all. We even sent them PPE to help them thru it, they stockpiled the stuff because they alone knew how bad this was going to be. But the question remains, south korea got the same treatment from China, the whole world did. But we are doing really poorly here when compared to other nations. Even shithole nations.

I think your calipers need to be rebuilt or replaced. The pistons get rust build up on the outer surface and get bound up in the bore in the caliper housing. The fact that they didn't want to go back into the caliper is a give away. Now it's as hard to move them out.

No other country has a highly contentious election coming up. They didn’t have motivation to politicize every aspect of the response. My 2 of my 3 kids went back to school already in the UK. I didn’t have to wear a mask at food shops and everyone followed the 2 meter rules. They sanitized all carts, limited entry into shops, had plastic screens up at checkout, and hand sanitizer everywhere. Folks just followed the rules because they understood. If you can’t keep the distance, they expect you to wear a mask.

As far as South Korea, I’d guess the fact that the men are all experienced in following rules based off their mandatory military service and their entire population’s understanding of following rules for general protection based off constant threat from the North had something to do with it. Also entirely possible that they took the initial threat more serious because they definitely do not trust or like China whereas the west basically went on a pretend there is nothing wrong tour with Chinese propagandists and was too concerned with feelings being hurt rather than shutting China out completely from the first signs of the illness.

No one mandates a mask hiking or bikiing. But if you are biking on a path in an urban area amongst the hoards that I have seen you'd be an idiot not to. FFS, all it takes is a huge sneeze of someone ahead of you and you will drive right through their cloud.
I've noticed this when people smoke and vape. The smoker's toxic cloud travels way past the 6 foot/2 meter rule. Yeeeeeeeuck!!!

No, they had rust on them like 23 year rotors. I drive it daily, not sure what you mean. Ah, saw your other post. Can't really disagree with that.

I thought the same thing...

Not sure what you mean. Yeah, all countries got similar non-warning, but then NY tells everyone to go out to nightclubs as normal, Pelosi tells everyone it's fine to go to Chinatown. Then when it ramps up everyone blames Trump. Mass looting, rioting and protests uncheck and certainly not social distancing or wearing masks. Is there really a question how we got where we are. Americans are clueless, dirty fucking idiots. The elitists running the show and the entitled idiots living in the basement are going to pay off on this. Meanwhile, my life is getting closer and closer to completely FUCKED!

Dude, Whats fucked right now? This is all going to work out in the end. I'm scared shitless to go in to my job where everything that goes thru this shop requires some dickhead with no mask to get about 3 feet from me and cry about there problems. Got posted signs that say we won't go for rides with you to hear your stupid ass noise. But some asshole will be standing in my 3 ft space telling me to go for a ride with some rich guy to hear his stpid fucking noise. It's like we post rules that everyone thinks is good for our safety, but they don't mean shit. I'll be standing by one of those signs when someone tells me to go.

Your kind of getting cought up in a lot of that shit your hearing. When pelosi said that we had like 16 cases or some shit. Everybody was saying shit that ended up wrong. If we don't stop helping them politisize this, we're all going to be fucked. But why do you suppose that Pandemic office wasn't able to get out in front of this? Who's fault was that? The guy who disbanded the office all together?

I came back from Atlanta in feb and came down with what I told my wife was the worst cold I've ever had. Maybe I've already had it.
Exactly what happened to a friend of ours. She complained about getting sick like the flu only worse. Had it for about a week. Subsequently got tested and sure enough antibodies present. Also was in Feb. So you could be right.

EXACTLY! Me too but travel in TX. Dont take my rants so seriously. LOL. I will survive and am prepared to deal with this shit more than 99% out there. It will just be ready tough if I lose a job and I think if people were smart, we would be better off.... but people are dumb.

I always have theories on shit, but am never overly fond of them

I feel for you HAVING to be close to random people. Thoughts are with you man.

Thanks. My thoughts are with you too. This too will pass. I work with a great group of people. Staying home would feel like letting them down.

My wife and I came back from Germany at the end of February and were sick as hell but no breathing problems. We thought it was allergies but in the back of our minds we think we might have caught the 'Rona. Then in April we had to get swabbed due to being around someone who contracted it but a week later we were given the all clear by the medical staff from our negative results.
Is there a test to tell if you already had the 'Rona?

Yeah sure. You can get a blood test that checks for antigens. But now that they are saying any immunity you develop will be lost after a certain period of time I'm not sure what difference finding out if you had it months ago might make.
