Only the important stuff! Is there anything you didn't get tested for?
Not necessarily in June or July. The experts think it could be seasonal and 80 plus degrees will knock it down but not out. Maybe next year?I do think that (or maybe it's just me) there's been a big disconnect in that people think that if they stay inside for weeks they aren't going to get the virus. That's not the point of "flattening the curve" Hundreds of thousands, or millions will still get it, they just won't get it at the same time (now), but over the coming months. Seeing a lot of posts elsewhere about people telling others to "stay inside, I don't want to get sick"
Sweetie you're still going to get sick. Just maybe in June. Or July. Or November. Not in April.
Snowed here yesterday, stuck inside. Looks to be a nice day today so I'm going for a motorcycle ride after work. Did order some fantastic Nepalese food (take out) last night which was a nice break from cooking at home.

I guess it’s optics.
Otherwise it would be: Trump is racist against old people! He wants them to die!
My dad asked me yesterday why he, and millions like him who are old and on social security and file no taxes are getting a check.
I have no idea either. He’s not working, on social security income, and is now getting an additional $1200 than he otherwise gets.
fiscally it makes no sense. I guess it’s optics. Otherwise it would be: Trump is racist against old people! He wants them to die!
motherfucker they aren’t out of work. They don’t work. They’re old. Why should they get a “sucks you’re out of work” check?
The point is not to pay your rent with that check. The point is for you to pay someone else's when you spend it.
Forget how this stuff is sold. Governments pitch that ball to be caught. It's an economic stimulus, and that has quite a bit to do with spending money from an individual perspective and less to do with making it. That's for who you pay. It's got to be spread around as thoroughly as possible to achieve that goal.
I'm not saying it's necessarily the right way to do things; only that it's how things are done. Nobody who ever promised to put a chicken on so many tables actually cared what people ate for dinner. That's just sugar in the medicine.
Whatever. I'm not too worried about it, the numbers are so darn big that at some point you may as well just go balls out. There's only one shot to make it work, and there's no sense being stingy with eggs around that particular basket. One chance. That's all there is. It's too expensive to even think about again.
Cheers,
Kennith
Spend where? Everything is closed.Exactly, tell him to spend it with small businesses, as soon as it arrives. Even if he doesn’t need anything, spend it. In this case the stimulus will hopefully stave of total economic starvation.
Check your chamber of commerce. Many small businesses have opened online stores or are taking phone orders. If you can’t find anything you might want local, I’d be surprised. However, Rovers North, Will Tillery, Paul Grant, and others in the more distant small business community are shipping. Maybe Dad should buy you some Rover gifts. My wife bought a swimsuit from Savage Swim in St. Augustine, FL she had been wanting since our last visit. She likes boutique clothing. It’s more than we would usually spend, but they are the definition of a small business that is likely to struggle. Some need that stimulus to pay their mortgage and basic bills. We don’t, so we are spending our stimulus on small business.Spend where? Everything is closed.

Most places that sell an actual product are open in LA. You might just have to do curbside pickup, or order online. Its only really non essential services, like barbers that are closed. Even bars can do takeout cocktails from what I understand.
If I was getting one of these checks I'd definitely splurge and buy something I wouldn't normally. Obviously if I needed it to pay my mortgage or buy groceries I would.
Sounds quite nice, actually.
