Ya know, show me one off road suspension that the lower link is held in single shear. I'm working with a mechanical engineer in this, so why don't you shut the fuck up. We are laying out something that is going to be safe. Have you seen this actual truss? I haven't, or care to, but from my experience and the experience of the guys I'm working with, we aren't going to go with a that design

Me? You're the one whoa few months ago argued that tire size changed suspension geometry. You should not be arguing the merits of single vs double shear fastening.

in a nutshell: it doubles the cross section area of the pin when used in shear calculations. If the force is completely perpendicular to the axis it theoretically doubles the yield point in shear, hence the term "double shear." In actuality it reduces the shear force by up to half, depending on the angle of applied forces. It also pins both ends reducing bending forces and possibly bucking forces, depending on application.

This isnt a respond to me is it? I know what a double shear joint is - I want to see pictures of your custom suspension set up...

Seeing how I don't shit, you better let Robertf the genius explain it...

replaces the frame mount and gives you a orbital in place of the stock bushings. It's a cut/weld on replacement for the stock set-up. Relieves all binding at the frame. This works with any radius arm, stock or aftermarket. You still need the cranked arms to correct the castor...

Are there any updates on this?

Yes. Jake pointed out that frank doesn't shit and may damage his internal organs.

Frank probably doesn't have the arms done because he is busy putting electrical gadgets in his cabin.
