yeah, have been "watching" this one on CL for at least two months now...they keep updating the listed date every few days, not sure what the bolt on floor board is covering. its been listed at the same price for at least the last two months

well that color does look pretty rare but when i try to look at another image it brings up more ads. with d90s i really dont see mileage being a problem. the big issue is if its west or god damned east coast.

The high mileage ones around here all have rotted bulkheads, missing rear frames/crossmembers and non-existent second gear syncros.

Not exactly what we see around here. From DC south you will find some high mileage units with little no signs of rust... Go North of that and the story changes quickly.

I have seen several 95 trucks with 150k plus ...that are super clean. I envy the guys who actually "drive" them.. I have owned 6 for a combined total of 10yrs...and less than 10k combined miles.

They really can be a fun truck to own..

If it is at a dealership they probably have too much money in it or want to make a killing. Go down to the dealership with cash and I bet they deal.

I had thought about looking it over and offering to trade my Toyota even for it. The 'yota is valued at 18,000 or so. Although the defender may just be a money pit. I really don't have time to go look it over right now anyway. I guess i will continue to dream of finding one from Florida with less then 100k and no rust! (and the person doesn't know what they have so they want to sell it for $5000)

unfortunately many had nonexistant syncros straight from the factory. And I've even installed "rebuilt" ones that weren't any better. Seems its more of something a person just has to get used to.
