Diesel Disco-1999 , Series 1 turbo diesel, manual 5 speed Land Rover Discovery. The 300 tdi Land Rover engine and Land Rover transmission was shipped from England and installed in the 1999 Series 1 Discovery SE7. Very rare here in the states. Gets 25mpg and is ready for warm weather bio-diesel. The engine only has 92,000 miles on it. The body has 170,000 miles on it. CV joints, clutch, brake rotors and pads, exhaust, shocks, headliner, AC compressor, where all replaced 16 months ago. All the conversion work was done at Reborn Company (rebornco.com British restoration specialist). Everything is Land Rover stock except AC compressor. Very, very clean and in great shape. Original white paint still looks good, and the tan leather interior is in great shape. I have driven it nearly every day in the last 16 months (25,000 miles). The manual transmission offers excellent rpm control , and the diesel engine offers more torque than the V8. Considering the money it cost to ship and install engine and transmission, and the rare nature of this vehicle in the States, I?m asking $10,000. I know this is my first post, but thought folks on here would appreciate this truck. Interested buyers, private message me for more information please. Thank you!

Why would anybody want a stinky diesel? No power, loud, expensive, etc etc etc. I can't believe people would actually pay money for any rig with a 300Tdi. Hell, if they are so good, why didn't LRNA import them?

Tsk......tsk......tsk..... :)

yea, they suck, only 25 to 30 mpg, minimal maintenance, reliable, no electronics- why did I buy this??

Marty- not avoiding, just no luck yet on the bellhousing. Trying two more sources in the UK- tough to find a short housing for 200 to R380- preverbial hens teeth, but they do exist...

Josh has been great to deal with thus far, and scheduled to get the truck - well, later today now:)

Dale, I know, just messing with you. I have a Disco and a RRC with 300tdi's. My Disco has a few aftermarket parts and bigger tires. It does about 20mpg town/freeway. The RRC is stock and does about 27mpg town/freeway.

yea, wasn't sure if serious or sarcastic- all good!! And I really miss the XD Tdi I had...

Thanks Dave- traded Marty some parts for parts, then he needed the bellhousing and I didn't have one, but trying to get one. Anyway, maybe his guy will see this as well- appreciate it!!

Bender- I'll let him comment, but same old basicly- wifey wants a more normal ride, talking babies, etc. He isn't really a Rover guy, although he has certainly enjoyed the truck, but also tired of the little things- windows, seats, etc... His wife actually works for Reborn's owner's Dad, hence the whole Rover thing to start.

Hope to see it in a few more hours...
