I bought the recommended injectors from fivemotorsports and also installed new o2 sensors and did see improvement but I attribute that to the sensors as I couldn't tell the difference from the stock ones I had installed. I would look for a new ECU performance chip with the 4.6 installed with the stock header / manifolds. I still get a lot of carbon in the tailpipe but its defintely less rich than before

The Ford ones don't fit exactly right (in my 1991 RRC). I have a Ford set off eBay and regret it. Waste of money. They offered absolutely zero improvement. Stick to the newer Bosch style OEM replacements and good clean solid contacts from the connections.
I've searched around and seem to have come across a few mentions of replacements having issues due to the retaining clips. Is this an issue with just the Ford injectors or the Bosch 0280155700 too? I've got a 02' D2 and want to figure out which option will work best without retaining clip issues.
I just installed the Bosch Ford pink top injectors after a 4.0 to 4.6 stroker build. They use the stock clips and work great.

746 has two clip notches. Use the one which places the nozzle closest to stock depth into the manifold.
