I was told the front skid is Southdown. There are a few other pics of this D2, where Land Rover Columbia, SC did the install of the HLC Fab bumpers for their customer. I will post those up so you can see this '04 D2 bumpers from a few different views. Denny is great to work with. I have been bending his ear for some time now off and on talking about what I want and sending him some pics of his bumpers I have seen and others telling him what I like about each and what characteristics from each I want in my D2 bumper when I get the cash to get it. I see Christmas present for me :D

ya that hlc brush bar looks awesome.

I welded a factory d2 bar to my rte back in the day and loved its looks. it handled all kinds of stuff except a 82 toyota head on. the rte didnt budge though. need a replacement now, so maybe denny would sell me just the bar as I hav eyet to find anyone that can or will bend the side wrap bars tight enough to look good.

The great thing with Denny is every bumper can be different. You see an angle you would like adjusted on the brush bar, a corner radius you want smaller where the bumper makes its turn to go across the front, or most anything like that, he can tell you what he can do and what range of options you can change on that particular component within the parameters of the base structure of the design. The idea of the front edge of this D2 front bumper is to follow the front lines of the D2.

Check him out on Facebook

Caution: He makes accessories for Jeeps and Toyotas, and most anything else you want to bring him. :)

Funny how we all struggle with getting just the right bumper. I'm looking as well, really like the ones from Extreme4x4 in the UK, but after seeing some of Denny's bumper porn, me thinks I need to talk to him. How do I find/contact him?

Thanks for the feedback. TR has agreed to do a custom bumper and will be revising their product in the future. They're great guys.

Peter, your bumper and all the other bumpers in this thread are fantastic. Great work.

Big thanks to Eric and Kep at Tactical 4x4 (Rovers) for implementing an enthusiast's feedback! I'm very happy with every aspect of it.

That bumper's brush guard looks exactly like Denny's in post 12.

What I originally described in post 1 happens to be what Denny's customer also wanted. No surprise. It's a good design.

The bars are slanted forward less.
The center bar is shorter.
The winch mount is slightly repositioned to reduce grill cutting.

The bumper looks good but you got to do something about that grille..

It's like looking at a hot chick with snaggle teeth.. cant stop looking at it

ah and I will add.. The recovery points on Dennys bumper are a much better design

why do they use those recovery points, they aren't designed for side loading, just a hoist point.

and in this case, imitation is the greatest form of flattery...

It's a genuine Saudi grille. What do you want..

Maybe it's because the truck is filthy. I basically installed the bumper and ran through a huge muddy puddle.

I do like Denny's recovery points, but in person these seem very stout.

The clear turn signals might have to go though. Don't like them as much as I'd hoped.
