I think the DII ages similar to the P38, anyone with me on that?

At any rate mine is tip top perfect but it was owned by a retired couple before me so it is very close to the mythical granny car. Stay on top of the repairs and it can be great for a long time.

I refuse to answer this question as I am afraid that it would jinx me with my '99 DII with 110K miles.....

I love my DII, and would only by a DI as a beat around Rover in my opinion, Di's are great cars, but the luxury aspect... DII all the way.

My home is where my Disco is
So far:
-1x rad,
-1x MAF
-1x crankshaft oil gasket and rear diff oil gasket
-Plug leads and plugs
-Idler pulleys
All the first year at 30K miles

Last week, all together
-Complete bushes overhaul
-ACE leak in valve block
-Front diff leak
-Serious Head Gasket leak

now it's in the workshop... again

Besides the head gaskets, cracking/slipping cylinders, ABS modulators, and drive shafts, not too badly...

I have 2000 P38, DII 2000 and 94 Disco 1 so far Disco 1 is trouble free going to almost 200K miles; heads done at 115K miles. P38 problem free so far but major headache on the DII, replace engine at 100K, blown rad, now PS leak, CSK problem. I spent more time on the DII than the other two rovers....I guess it's the hate and love relationship owning a ROVER.
