How's that Prius look now?

Ok, so a friend of mine has been through a couple of Land Rovers. He had a nice Disco II that the stealership convinced him to trade for an LR3. Lot's of trouble with it and he soured on Rovers.

A couple of months ago he comes over to show off his shiny new Prius. Raves about the mileage and how great it rides. Fast forward a few weeks and he's driving down I-25 and hits a mattress. Not a bed or a box spring; a mattress. TOTALS THE PRIUS.

I told him "Wow, I bet that wouldn't have happened in the Rover." I was accused of being insensitve.

I just helped a friend move a Tempurpedic king bed mattress, holy hell those are heavy! I'll bet one of those flying through the air on the highway would mess up just about anything!

Personally I am now leaning toward the Civic Hybrid. I've been testing tons of cars and though the Civic is ugly on the outside it is pretty livable on the inside.

lol! a 110 chassis with a IIa 109 body and a 3.9L works fairly well too as a "hybrid".
