If you wanted to paint a HUGE Land Rover oval, how would you do it?

Yes, I'd like to further piss off my neighbors now that I'm in compliance again.

I'm either gonna paint a HUGE oval on the front of the barn with my name as a "rocker", or a slightly smaller one on the fence.

Any suggestions? I'd prefer something like a stencil versus "math data" as I'm sure plotting points on the barn would be a Des Cartesian exercise in frustration.

Maybe a BIG stencil?

Yep, that's the route I'd go, but I'd use an LCD rather than an overhead, since I've got one readily available.

I have used my LCD projector for some bigger things, seems that would work as well.

Even an old transparencies projector would work, I used to use one to transfer images onto custom carpet designs.

I do second the projector route, but if you do not have one, how about transparent paper with the logo you plan to trace laid on top of a spotlight that is shining on the barn (i.e. Batman light style). May be simple and effective.

if you want it huge, projector is the only way to go. easy to realign if you can't finish in one day or due to weather changes while you're working.

Just make sure it actually says, "Land Rover" so the lawyers from LRNA can find you -- most of them can read four letter words, "Rover" might be iffy, but the green oval should clue them in.

And put a sign up that says, "Google street view look here -->"

(By the way, I use a projector in the classroom all the time to have kids make oversized maps. Works well.)

My friend decorated his garage. He just gave a case of beer to some "artists" guys with spray paint. The "artist" had that interior painted up and it looked pretty cool.

I would say the easiest thing to do is to give a case of beer to some "artist" and have them do it.
