Not to mention the powerplant blowing away the Ineos power plant. More power and better pedigree on a motor that had its release tested out for a couple years now. Yes, I realize the BMW one has been out for a while, but, well, it's BMW.
Switch looks good, GX not so much.
We all know the D1 power:weight ratio, yet we love them.Ineos = 3.0L turbo I6; 281HP; 330LBFT; mid-teens MPG; 17" or 18" wheels/31-32" tires
Lexus = 3.4L twin-turbo V6; 349HP; 479LBFT; 17 MPG; 18" wheels/33" tires
Would really like to see the new Toyota Land Cruiser specs, should obviously be similar to the Lexus
Yes but a N/A V8 has a super torque curve for off road useWe all know the D1 power:weight ratio, yet we love them.
Nobody would spend 60k plus for that today, though.We all know the D1 power:weight ratio, yet we love them.

What was the D1 back in the mid 90s….about $35k? That’s $70k today. Crazy.Nobody would spend 60k plus for that today, though.
I kind of dig it. Land Cruiser should be better if it’s simpler with less grill and angles.Switch looks good, GX not so much.
I just realized the new GX550 engine produces 349HP & 479LBFT. In the Tundra the engine produces 389HP and 479LBFT. I wonder where the 40 horses went?Ineos = 3.0L turbo I6; 281HP; 330LBFT; mid-teens MPG; 17" or 18" wheels/31-32" tires

Tuned down for better MPG maybe?I just realized the new GX550 engine produces 349HP & 479LBFT. In the Tundra the engine produces 389HP and 479LBFT. I wonder where the 40 horses went?
You're probably right. Or just detuned to keep it in it's planned segment. They get 409 HP out of the same engine in the Lexus LX600 and they advertise mileage in the LX600 as the same as the Tundra - 17/22 or 19 MPG combined.Tuned down for better MPG maybe?
It could be because they are tuning for 87 octane and publishing those specs…as far as I know all Lexus cars state to fill with 93 octane only.You're probably right. I think the new Tacomas are a good indication. They are all the same platform now.I'm really curious to see the new Land Cruiser specs. Hopefully it has the same engine, it's cheaper, maybe a bit lighter, better looking, and more dirt friendly than a Lexus.
So are you saying you saw a test truck or maybe a dealer who received one early to try out? Because the "24 aren't out yet.I saw a new Tacoma on the road this morning. Looked good....looked bigger than the older Tacomas.
