Odd winch angle, no drum access, obligatory dumb LEDs, obnoxious laser-cut bird logo. At least its stupidity matches the Predator grill. Hopefully the predictive LC renders are accurate in reducing the design weirdness of the Lexus counterparts.

I just want a truck that looks like a truck, not some ridiculous Batman masculinity cosplay thing that most manufacturers are pumping out now.

When I read this I thought good luck finding anyone to make a WB for that. I guess I am wrong. Yes, for the '23 but have to think it will be available for the '24. And.. it looks really fucking good.

That bumper does look good, which surprised me. It the rest of the GX that I can't come to grips with. I'd be self-conscious on the border of embarrassed to drive one. Batmobile is pretty accurate.

Sometimes it's the oddest looking vehicles that ultimately grow on people and make lasting statements. I remember a time when my D1 was such a vehicle compared with others that were more mainstream. I hated the FJ Cruiser when it first came out, now I love them and the fact that the longer I have it, the more it's worth.

Other such vehicles have become kinda pricey...

In case anyone's google search skills are broke, here is the current rendering of what the Land Cruiser might look like. It's a little less Batman. I liked the earlier renderings with round headlights more, but I can't find them. Looks like a very clear place to pop in a metal bumper and winch as well, but have to wait and see.

Getting back to the Grenadier, looks like a pickup is announced and plans are for it to come stateside. Kind of old 130 proportions though the bed looks shorter

Yeah, it's out there. Not sure where to place it - somewher in between mid-size and full-size maybe? I think in the USA the competiion is far stiffer for a pick up than for an SUV. We have plenty of very good off road pickup options, many with more power and payload, even in the mid-size category at presumably far better prices. You can get a Chevy Colorado ZR2 for ~50k but it has less payload and towing capacity for those who will care... The tacoma will be likley priced cheaper and be really close in terms of both.

Sorry, but the Grenadier pickup just looks plain silly.
I think it looks OK, even maybe better than the regular Grenadier. Kinda like the Jeep pickup - some like it/some don't. What is, indeed, just plain silly, is a spare tire taking up a large portion of the bed. I would go as far as to say that its not silly, its f$#ing stupid. One would hope that a bumper mounted swing out spare would be part of the stock configuration.

But it has a tire depression on both sides, so you can carry two spares!

Dual-cab-PU's just don't work for me. Bed too small, as is the interior cargo space, now the spare location and a short roofline (n)

Bed is longer than it looked in the pics I posted. Actually looks useful. How long is it? Six feet? Or 2 meters?

The bed is for dirty gear, firewood, tray conversions, and various campers and canopies. Anyone buying this will have better ways to haul soil.
