Paul,

You are right , but sometimes I get carried away buying toys ( specially when it comes to NFA ones, the tab gets up there quickly ).

Besides I have safe queens, so if I don't shoot them, I sell them

( soon for sale 1 Bushmaster XM-15 and 1 Colt 6721 )

As far as the 870, if I find it next trip tip to the farm ( assuming has not been repo by the in laws *LMAO* ) i will take pics, but indeed Marty has the dibs as I promised him 6 mo ago.

BTW, have a great Turkey day

Marty-BAH! Who cares what he thinks, just because he has a pocketful of MY money to spend as I just sent it to him-LOL.

I have no interest in NFA stuff any more, loading clips after emptying them in seconds got old faster than I thought it would. Now, if you had any falling block rifles, we might have to talk! I'd love a Browning in 22-250 or 45-70.

Not all my NFA are Burping items, but I hear you completely .

In one hand I am thankful I do not live in any of these states ( MT.ID.WY.SD,UT,TN,AK ) or I will be so broke, on the other hand, will be so cool not to deal with all the other paperwork BS we have to go through

Actually when I left ROTR went to Cabelas, they had a bunch of AR style rifles priced between 650 for DPMS or Olympic to 950.00 for Bushies, many were flat tops, there was a Sig ( argggg hate them ) for 675 , looked well used and one Colt like mine, plain stock, well used for 1150.

They had a nice selection of used firearms

If I come across a plain stock I will let you know

Speaking as a professional mil/le firearms instructor, former USAR shooting team competitor, your Colt is "overscoped".

If you are referring about the front scope, I agree, it is just seating around abnd put it there for kicks.

It is actually out of the rifle now. ( it is on my sons M&P 15-22 with MBUS )

If you are referring to the carry handle scope, I hardly use it as I prefer to shoot from irons, but I do not think is bad.

Thanks
