This vile thief lives on Linden Dr in Cincinnati. He made it sound like he deals in cars but he never gave a business name. He bought a few things from me including a eas pump for a MK3. He called me a week later and said the eas pump didn't fix it. He asked if I wanted to buy it and it "ran good" beside the eas problem. I asked about the condition of the engine and transmission and he said there was no problem with either of them. We made a deal at 4 grand and I sent a driver to pick it up. As soon as I get it here I start it and the engine is making noise. Not terrible but not nothing. I took it to my import guy who ran a diagnostic on it and the left bank is out of time. When I asked Matt what the deal was he said "I ran it for hours, it ran good" I told him it didn't and he responded "It idled a little rough at 500 RPM but ran fine with a little gas to get it to 800 RPM" So this lying sack of goat dung knew there was an issue with the motor but decided it was best not to mention it. I asked him to take it back (with fixed air suspension, it was a fuse) or to give me some money back. He went into something about how he was already losing money on the car, poor him, poor him. Then he quit texting me back. So keep your eyes open, don't deal with this guy, and if you see him let him know I hope his family dies of Ebola.

Sorry to hear this, he should make it right.

Sounds like my wife's idiot customers. They screw up and she's supposed to lose money fixing it so they can make a profit.

A drivers job is to drive. A sellers job is to honestly describe their product. I know it's buyer beware, there are villainous swine out there who exploit honest tradesmen such as my self. I'm just letting other people know what a low life he is, and also hoping he some day perishes by Peine forte et dure.

Is it a 4.4 M62 engine? If so could be the chain guide and tension, some BMW folks are here, maybe they know a few things about it.

Paging 75, who will say it is a giant pos motor... With truth.

Now you get me worried. A friend of mine had his belt tensioner replace after hearing horrible noise from the engine and rough idle. The noise reduced but still there, snapped the belt in a feel minutes. Don't know whether the belt guide had fall apart and the new tension makes things worst or just the new tensioner is making the belt too tight.

Not planning to have that happen on mine.

That sounds like the pas pump is crapping out.

The noise of death usually follows finding chunks in the oil if you are lucky...

You tell 'em, PT! And if they don't pay up, you can park leaking Range Rovers in their driveways!

Rest assured, I am an aggressive collection agent-so much so that Snap-On Credit will send me to recover product.

I have no qualms with going to someone's home to demand payment, I did the work, delivered the product, now I DESERVE to be paid.

Glad to hear you offered the honor system (IOU). Hard to find these days, or I'm not looking in the right places.

In many cases, Snap-On deviates from accepted business models. We are the only industry where we will give you hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of dollars worth of product with the expectation of future payment. It has worked well for the past 95 years, it must be a sound business model.

Where do I apply for credit,

On any Snap-On truck. IIRC, you're in HK, I can have one of my Brothers In Chrome contact you. If you don't pay, I'll sic my niece on you-she's in HK as well.
