I've been on a ukulele kick lately:

"Time to Get a Gun"
Live at Ashland Tea and Coffee

This is a great song but it's prefixed by a story; if you're impatient, skip to 1m25s

This is literally music for tonight.

I'm seeing them tonight in Bristol, TN. Robert Randolph is just amazing with a steel guitar.

Talked to my mother the other day, and Lady Gaga was playing in the background.

Damn it all. I want to hate that stuff, but the imagery and themes are so wonderfully complex. Anyway, "Judas" got stuck in my head, so I just watched the video to get it out of there, and I noticed something...

Norman Reedus plays Judas! Just keep an eye out.

Maybe everyone else knew this already, but I sure as hell didn't.

Cheers,

Kennith

Hard to believe that it's been 21 years since this was recorded...

Blind Melon? Wow. I saw them open for Soundgarden and Neil Young that year. So few people were at the venue and most folks had no idea who BM was that the lead singer climbed down from the stage and started wandering through the crowd during their set. Then they became cool and Soundgarden became easy listening.

Don't know them and after watching that likely won't.

I have much harder time believing the technology advancements in the past 20-35 years.

Looking back and seeing old musicians that I know and saw > 30 years ago, is quite easy to believe. Many of them look older than me, so its an easy context for me to understand.
