Daily driver only until payments are finished. Then I will buy a commuter. Land Rover is a great wheeler but HORIBLE daily.

it's a device that plugs into a wall and illuminates in order to advertise a particular brand of beer, but that's not important right now.

Bought it for my wife as her daily driver. Wasn't the vechicle I really wanted (but that's another story), she like it because it was different from all the others. Having had 4 wheel drives all my life (FJ55,FJ40,87 RR,CJ7,D1) I wasn't too excited about (or at least what I thought would be) a yuppi 4x4. I was plesently surprised when the dealership I bought it from sponsored a 1 day off-road event with a few members of the Camel Trophy team and the vehicle outperformed any previous 4 wheel drive vehicle I owned. Both my Toyotas (FJ55 and FJ40) had V8 conversions, lifts and 35" tires and would not have been able to hang with the stock D1. Well to make a long story longer.... my wife "gave me" the D1 (I bought her a 04 Bug with turbo/rag top) and I've been personalizing it ever since.

Both even though the MT/R's are getting so loud that now I'm thinking about a upgraded system. Either that or another set of wheels and tires. 168,000 and still running strong.
