I have been sitting on this for a year and don't foresee myself ever using it. Brand new ARB P38 air locker installed in a 3.54 third member. New Timken tapered roller bearings and ARB compressor included with lines and switches for install. Super deal for the right person. First $600.
Only fits the P38. Doylestown, PA

This is bullshit.

P38 diffs are different, won't fit any disco, at all
I'm not trying to BS anyone or give wrong information... correct me if I'm wrong.
Both differentials have 31.5 shaft, 24 spline, 3.54 ratio and use ARB RD128.
Why they are not the same?

Not sure where you got your info about P38's and Disco's using the RD128, but it's not correct.

ARB was wrong with the old part numbers, too. ARB's fit chart showed the RD57 fitting the DII, and the RD56 fitting the D1. That was not correct. The RD56 fit both the D1 and DII, and the RD57 fit the P38. But this was not correct on the ARB fitment chart. So if the ARB chart shows the new RD128 fitting both the Disco and the P38, it's not correct.

In either case, anyone looking to lock up their P38, this is a smokin deal

the RD57 and RD138 fit the P38

The mis-information by ARB is based on some of the Non-NAS 4.6l D2's getting the P38 rear diff in 03-04. No NAS truck got it and there is no evidence to support any D2 getting it.
there was a way to get a RD56 or RD128 to fit a P38 with a ring gear spacer and some machining to the third housing.

D1, D2, Defender, RRC diff is considered the Rover diff.
P38 and 02+ defender is considered the Wolf Diff in the Banjo housing.

This diff will fit 2002 and up defenders with the Wolf axle setup.

I don't think it will fit the d2 housing even with drilling new stud locations. It is the same shaft spline though. The crown and ring gears are the weak point in that diff. they are rumored to break quite often in heavy GVW defenders...(shorter pinion stresses the bearing causing more deflection and then kaboom)

I never got a reply back with a shipping quote...
And what is the deal with the warranty for the older style lockers? i saw somewhere that after a certain date, any old style locker was sold without a warranty.

I stand corrected. I got the information from ARB USA and Rovers North. I'll ask before posting. I was trying to help FB. Thanks guys.
