Am I really the only person in the world who knows his card number, expiration date & security code?
Now I'm feeling all special.

I like texting or emailing my order to Tillery, and getting the bill 8-months later. It's part of his deferred pay program.

Once you have a vendor you can trust, you no longer ask about prices as you know that vendor is not going to fuck you. It's not so much about price as it is about service. Well, sometimes price is an issue....

Ditto, I text Will most times, unless I am in the mood to have an 80's song serenade, then I call!:D

none of your fucking business
I like the no nonsense but, I also like for the "no nonsense" to atleast be pleasant on the other side.

I hate feeling like someone Im about to send my money to didn't want to even talk to me.

So, somewhere in the middle of "no nonsense" and "bullshitting".

Actually, Ive gotten great customer service with just the right blend of both when I've called Rovers North in the past. I think Les is the guy that is always the coolest, you could take some notes from him.

That worked out well with Kyle...

And more recently, Nate. Sure, his prices are cheaper, but just understand that you won't receive anything for a minimum of 6 months, if at all.

Bottndorf or something.

I'm with Dan. If I call, text, vm, e-mail Will tomorrow morning, I know for a fact that my part will arrive the next day. The only thing on my trucks that hasn't come from Will is a Hannibal rack and the oil and filters. Hell, one of the trucks came from him too.

NO BS! Order online with cheap prices, by using credit card.

Prices based on a % above purchase price, not retail. Cheap prices means more volume = more happy customers.

I want online only, lots of pictures, good description and only sell the best product available. I place a very high value on knowing where the product was manufactured, ad it to your description.

I hate piecemeal ordering. If I can't order it all from you, I probably wont buy anything.

I hate calling up, so if I have to call and talk the price better be crazy cheap compared to other folks. (Tillery)

Fast shipping, and email the tracking code, prefer shipping cost to be calculated before buying.

no spam.

You are late to the game, so you either have to have the cheapest prices or create a superior customer buying experience or stock shit no one else has.

This is an interesting observation. Do you mean all of the parts to do a job, or all of the parts you need that may be hard parts and interior trim, etc.?

If you call me and you want an aftermarket water pump, a door handle, and wheel bearings, I might not be able to get it all to you tomorrow. But, if you order a water pump, I will likely have the water pump, lower hose, thermostat, and belt for the truck.

That is something I totally missed but you are soooooo right. And it isn't necessarily parts to do he entire job, I'll order a bit of this and a bit of that. If I can't save on shipping by ordering everything I want at one time, then I'll usually go to the next guy in my favorites even if their prices are a little bit higher, cause it's still cheaper than having to pay at least the minimum shipping from two different vendors.

And that is hard to do unless you specialize in one type or two types of vehicles, or have a massive inventory.

I normaly look up prices on-line and here and then I call to make a purchase. The on-line store will save you a whole lotta phone question time if it has all of the info for the parts and prices.

I've skipped you over a few times because of the lack of prices. Unlike Dan I don't think you are out to fuck me over. I just don't know what a lot of this shit costs.

Since my truck has long been finished souping up when I need parts it is usually to fix an immediate problem. So if something is broke and you don't have everything i need to fix it, i will move on. This means all the bearings, nuts, bolts, gaskets as well as the part.

For instance, I will buy a HG kit and everything that i will need for the job.

My reason for this is if there is an issue I want everything to be pointed back to one vendor.

Frankly Paul, I'm not sure what you are going to bring that isn't out there.

Perhaps I'm in the minority. Always at least 4 Rovers in the family and always something to work on. I'm never in a hurry. Price is not a big deal, just be in line with everyone else. Give me a shopping cart I can add and subtract from over the course of several days at all hours.

AB suits me just fine, but I'd be happy to order anywhere else. I'd like to get the STI 8mm plug wires from BP utah, but I'll be ordering quite a few other things as well and I don't want to fill out the "order form". I don't order from British Pacific 'cause I don't want to look up the price for everything. I'm happy to pay for your time, just don't take mine.

I do want a real person involved somewhere if I have a question or want to confirm I really did mean to order two sets of tailgate struts for two different p38s. Phone or email doesn't matter. If I order windshield washer jets, please remind me to get the retaining clips as well.

Give me some quick feedback in the form of a confirmation and tracking number when you get my money.

Same as basically everyone else, especially Jen's comments.

I prefer web-based ordering because I'm usually ordering before or after working hours and between parental duties. Sometimes I have to leave a page open and come back to it, or put a few things in a cart and come back later in the night to finish, etc. It's sometimes difficult to take time during working hours to make the phone call. At my present duty station it's actually a big PITA, but this is a bit of an anomaly.

More and more I want to know who manufactured the part. OEM, Britpart, Allmakes, etc. I visit RovahFarm more for that reason. For price, as long as a vendor is in the ballpark of other vendors then the differences come down to ease of ordering. Now if your price is roughly double other vendors, such as RN's prices seem to be lately, then I won't even look at your website.

Your phone service is good PT, from my limited experience. Improve your website and I think it's fair to say that more of us will try to shop with you.

two more of my cents.

Usually, I order based on price.
However, if the difference is only a couple dollars, I'll consider other options.
For example, per my recent experience with Buckhorn Imports, I could have gotten that blower motor for a couple dollars less.
But, in my eBay search, Buckhorn Imports came up.
I recognized the name from here, recalling no bad posts regarding Buckhorn, thought I'd give them a try.
Frankly, I'm glad I did. The order/purchase part was easy.
The part shipped in no time at all.

So, for me:
If PT has an easy ordering interface & competitive prices, I'll buy from him.

PT: have you considered setting up the eBay store thing?
Rather than reinventing the wheel, I mean.

Can I get a credit for my four cents of opinion?
Just apply it to my first purchase. :victory:
