why would the 20" rims have needed a spacer? They're rover wheels and thus are a direct fit...
it's the once in a while reason that the bfgs are a more suitable choice if you're only running one wheelset. the mtr's should just be for special trips in my opinion. poor on the hwy and why wear them out unnecessarily.

why do you have 8 of the same tire? I trust you do have a 5th matching spare....I hope so.

I was wondering about the offset. I read somewhere that RR and LR3 had different wheel offsets. I know that they are plug and play bolt pattern.
I have 8 wranglers off the wheel 255 55 19 and the one full size spare under truck still. I cant explain why I have 8, see it and buy it syndrome. I do want the MTRs for the once in a while trips.

according to two different sites selling wheels the RR have 57mm offset and LR3's have 53mm.
This is as far as I have gone into my research. This is why I asked if you had a spacer for your RRS wheels. If I were to put those RR wheels on, what would it affect?

:smilelol: If I said that I didnt care, then two weeks from now when I try to justify something completely different the "I dont care" will come back to haunt me, as i have seen around these threads before.

So in an attempt to salavge my reputation before it faulters, "I do care" and "dont care" and will most likely buy the RR wheels and run those with the GY majority of the time.. no matter what my rep will be in the future.
Congrats on starting the longest thread in LR3 Forum.. so far. I though I had a good start with the LR cary one.. oh well

Your posts are very confusing or you are confused.... I have photos of when there were 20" Range Rover Sport 10Y spoke wheels. You asked about that however said you have 19" tires and now refer to "RR". A "RR" is not a RRS and not the same base platform whereas the LR3 and RRS are and I think have the exact same offset or so close to not be an issue.

The wheels I had were 20" x9" any 19" rims, RR or RRS, will not be 9" wide and therefor even less of any issues in offset. why would you bother buying some RR or RRS 19" rims just to utilize one of the crappiest tires ever put on a rover of any year or model? Not to mention, the 19" rims made for the LR3 look better on the lr3 than the other model 19's. The 20's I had looked cool on a stock lr3 but silly on one with any other stuff.

If yours is going to stay more or less stock other than a roof rack, you might really dig the look and feel of the 20's. The wider tread seemed to really improve the cornering, not that the lr3 is supposed to feel like a race car, but it did help and the width was more proportional to the body design as the 9" rims stand outboard just a tad more to look more squat and tough. You can either use the stock sized 275/45x20 or upsize just barely to 285/50 ish to get a much better wheel well fill visually as well as more sidewall in a 20" wheel. I had the larger ones on my 06 lr3 and the smaller ones on the one in the photos. Both will fit in the stock spare slot.

I know you had the RRS wheels on yours. The reason I asked about the offset is only b/c you are the only member I have seen with any other LR brand wheels on their LR3.

I am looking at the idea of buying either RRS or RR 19" wheels to utilize some of my abundance of GY tires. . I do agree that the Wranglers are shitty tires.
Not too interested in the 20's.

the rrs and rr 19's are kind of crappy designs in my opinion. the lr3 19 is actually pretty nice and the lines go better with the boxy lr3. just get a set of those. someone has surely pulled theirs in lieu of 20's so there ought to be orriginals on ebay or somewhere.
