Vonnie Walbert, vice president of human resources at Pizza Hut’s corporate offices in Dallas, said last week that employees are not allowed to carry guns “because we believe that that is the safest for criminals.”
Fixed it for her.

I knew a guy who worked for dominos who carried a glock. I doubt he told his boss though. Pizza boys actually get robbed quite a bit, which is retarded as they rarely have more than 40 bucks on them.

Why not just carry, if you never need it no one will know. You can fire me for shooting the guy who tried to rob me.

I thought the reason most people delivered pizza was so they could drive around and get baked out of their mind while making a few bucks. They probably shouldn't have a firearm for that

its the drivers car, carrying a gun is his decision. I can see a problem of goign in the store with a gun, and when the delivery guy actually steps onto personal property to deliver the pizza.

I see it as a great way to get tips.

I used to deliver pizza. It was an awesome job. Until I bought my rover. I would drive around with the deliver bag on the back seat and my bong next to it. Those were the days.... Never had any trouble as I worked in a really nice residential area. The guys downtown get jacked all the time, though. You cant go a week without hearing about a delivery guy getting robbed. Several have actually died in the Buffalo area.

A friend of mine was fired recently when a customer where he woked assaulted him. He fought back after taking a few blows and calling the police. The police report stated that he simply defended himself, the store fired him, saying in their paperwork that he assaulted the customer.

Places with these kinds of jobs don't care about you. There are ten other people waiting to get your job, and most of them will simply roll over when attacked and not produce any paperwork. These places just don't care.

Cheers,

Kennith

Actually, I was in an altercation with a customer way back wehen I was working at Sears. The moron was irate over a spark plug, and poised to swing at me, so I threw him over the cash register and defeated his ability to attack. My manager was actually supportive, even though he did put me in the warehouse for a few weeks in case the customer came back. I always liked working at Sears.

Cheers,

Kennith

I worked at a beer drivethru in college and had a customer come after me after I called his old lady a bitch (she insulted me first because she thought I was trying to overcharge her for a six pack of Bud). I went into the store and behind the counter and he ran in and started to come around the counter so I grabbed my little bag and took a few more steps back, into the cooler. He said "Oh what, you have a knife in your little bag? I'll take it right away from you." I didn't say a thing and just closed the cooler door. My buddy working with me tried to stop him but he shoved my buddy aside and came into the cooler. I continued to take slow steps back, all the way to the back wall of the cooler. When my back hit the wall I took out my HK and told him he was wrong about the knife. He was outta there in a flash. The store owner supported me 100% and just said "I don't pay you enough to take shit from these morons, good for you." From that point on I kept the HK concealed in an inside-the-waistband holster.

Great story.

Sounds like you did everything you could to avoid more trouble (aside from calling his old lady a bitch :D ), and probably would have been justified in shooting.

Good thing you didn't have to.

A lot of gun forums talk like if you have a good enough reason to pull it out, you should be justified in shooting. Seems to me there are still times that you don't really have to, like your situation.

Peace.

It had been a long night and she drove thru in her beater car and sent me back to the cooler 3 times for something cheaper and then she's fishing for loose change in her ashtray to afford a six pack of bud. Her hillbilly boyfriend is arguing with her and she drops a pile of change in my hand and I tell her she's short and she says it's enough, just give it to me asshole. The standard reply in my book is "get lost bitch." I didn't even point the gun at him, just let him see it as I pointed it at the floor. Besides, my moron buddy was standing downrange behind him at the cooler door.
