Well, i have the wrong ECU so my CEL is always one. Lately my disco is breaking faster than I can keep up. I just installed some bushings and now my exhaust is falling apart......

i had the opposite I bought a 97 with a non advanced ecm ( but knew it ) and the light stayed on until I sorted that out.

Check the wiring and insulation, maybe it’s getting hot. Also maybe the reluctor teeth if the sensor itself looks ok.

The connector and a hunk of harness has been replaced at my direction

At this point I am curious as to whether we are losing spark or fuel when the truck shuts down
