Hey don't lump me in with the rejects. I wasn't boycotting. I was still tired from the weekend before and had plenty of work to catch up on.

So it sounds like these folks are good to go. These are the trucks we are looking at.

In your line of work I'd think you'd want exposure at these events. Anyway Garrett let me know ASAP when you are ready to dump the D1's.

Cheers,

Mike

The white 110 3 doors was at MAR and it is in PRIMO condition, ( I drove the td5 when given a chance to drive the units.

Bart or Tim are straight shooters sans BS, you might not make a deal, but still gentleman like .

EDIT : oops Galen beat me to it

You're right. I probably should have been there. I am hoping in the future to host our own events at The Cove. Simple events with a few vendors and some hands on instruction "classes" for newbies, etc. Maybe work closer with dealers in getting fresh faces to the events.

The DIs are staying and being put into the training fleet. As it stands we have the following vehicles:

Toyota Hilux 4 door turbo diesel
Toyota Hilux 2 door turbo diesel
Toyota Hilux 2 door diesel
1997 FJ80
Toyota BJ75
1992 FJ80
Defender 130 200tdi
Defender 90
FJ Cruiser
Three DIs
RRC

I know I am missing one or two!

Looking to add more Defender 110 200 Tdi's, Hiluxes and FJ80s in the next several months.

FYI. I did sell Team Rover and now I am part of Overland Experts LLC. Most of our work as you know is military training (SEALs, Rangers, DoD, etc), but we do quite a bit of civilian training along with industrial (utility companies) work as well.

We do overland trips to Iceland, Newfoundland-Labrador and will be starting up Mongolia again and adding some new locations as well.

Garrett, please notify me of the next available opening in your company.

At least I get to drive these things while in Africa. Now if I can find a way to afford one state-side and drive it to class every day...

That blue one was mine... I am really good friends with these guys and do a lot of business with them and would recommend them any day. Garrett, I sent you a pm with some details on these trucks.

i've driven the green and blue one. they're all very solid. i'll continue to show my upmost support for them. great guys to deal with. i'd trade my DII right now for that blue one if i had the extra cash that trade-in wouldn't cover.

Michael, didn't I ride with you in an RRC of theirs once?

yes. that one i bought and delivered for the architect they share their building with. he owns three rovers and is putting his 109 pickup body on the RRC LWB frame. using the engine/tranny/tcase as well for it. gonna be a pretty cool hybrid.

I certainly know the RMR guys - as yes they did buy my TDI D2 - easy deal, zero BS and great guys to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them and my next Rover very very well may come from them... or from Chuck "Buy Rovers" :)

I have answered many phone calls and countless emails ever since I sold it to them - people call and email all the time asking if it's the same truck I had for sale and wanting to know all the details and why is at RMR being sold?? etc. No worries, I hope I can help and they can sell it and make a buck at least - maybe if I help sell it they will remember me when it comes time to buy another one - and not as "that pain in the @ss TDI truck guy that we lost $$ on" LOL. I am sure they would treat me well as they really do seem like a great bunch.

Is it me or is that green one a little soft looking underneath? Frame looks a little scary? maybe it's just the pics.

I really would like to have the blue one Chuck has with the Nissan diesel.... he just needs to find a buyer for my International and I'd be on the next plane to his door. :D

Its calling your name. You would not believe how cheap I am going to let it go for. I tried every damn thing I could to get someone on your international. The owner of 4 international dealerships is a friend and he couldn't even put a number on it...

Well - get me enough to buy your truck and get it home and painted.... done.

I just can't justify doing anything otherwise. Too many vehicles in the herd right now.

Your truck would look so nice all fresh with green and white paint, fresh interior and the plating removed.

I couldn't agree more. With a weekend to tidy up a few things and a fresh coat of paint, it would be absolutely bad ass. I am in the same boat, I need it gone to give another one a parking space.
