You can put disc brakes on a Sals for a lot cheaper than $600. I put a set on James Gall's truck 10 years ago for about $100, including all the shipping. Got the brackets from Rovertracks, and used hubs from an 88 RRC, IIRC.

But whats the point? Then you have a potato plow with disc brakes.

but if it's not a wheeler, who gives a shit

you can't do it now for a 100 bucks…at least do it right

I used hubs from 89, but you can get new ones and keith is out of the rover game

Why must it be a wheeler for it to matter? Snell likes driving in snow. One of his first trips in the truck was driving in snow. That potato plow will get him stuck in even snow.

Here's a potato plow with 38" tires.

They all get stuck the same.

I have no idea how I ever made it through 4,000+ miles of Utah dirt. These trails, they're just so tough. I better ditch my Sals. I'd hate to plow it into some dirt and get stuck out there for weeks.

Yep, you better ditch it before you kill a bus load of nuns with those drums brakes

Don't waste your time trying to get me into one of your multi quote diatribes about how you've wheeled everywhere and owned every model of LR known to mankind. Really don't care ...
