Shipping an SD rack.....

I'm on the hunt for an SD rack for my D1 and i've almost never seen any for sale locally so I have expanded my search to other states. Now I have to consider the price of shipping. It's big, it's odd shaped, and it's heavy. Has any body here shipped a rack before and can give me an idea of what it can cost?

Dude, that's like the time I found a hundred dollar bill in the used jacket I bought for $25. Saying that on here is gonna make everyone start scouring junkyards, and guess what? Nobody else is gonna find an SD rack for $110 at a junkyard. It was a one-of-a-kind thing, I'm sorry to tell ya. You got SERIOUSLY lucky. ...and yes, we are all completely jealous.

I heard someone on here once bought an SD rack for $20 off of the ex-girlfriend of the Rover owner.

I also bought a D2 SD rack on craiglist that was used once by prior owner and hung in his garage for the rest of its life while he had it. Lets just say it is worth WAYYYYYY more than I paid for it.

Depends on distance. At that cube your looking at 100 - 350 depending on the carrier. Use a commercial address for the pickup and delivery point to save yourself some coin. If your going to use a traditional ltl carrier, make sure the rack is protected. If you ship the rack bare, IT WILL GET DENTED.

I thought this was for your D1? I have a freight account and it cost me 150 to ship one to Miami last year. I wrapped it in cardboard, double layered the corners. I had one disappear once. It was on a truck in texas and somehow didn't arrive. It was probably one of you.
