Some Weird Shit Went Down With a Shady-As-Fuck Serial-Killer-Looking Dude and my D1

long story short, my wife sees somebody is towing my truck from the street, she stopped them, and they said it was for a customer who said he bought the truck. she heard me calling a tow truck company the other day to get a quote on transportation and though I ordered it towed, but calla me anyway.

I found the number for the company, called them, and said their customer was picking it up from a location, they gave me the address, and I asked them not to release it.

I got there and the guy is trying to convince me that (background information here, the truck's plated are expired, and was ticketed for it) he is trying to say that he did it out of the goodness of his heart to save it from being given towed by the county.

he said he was going to try to contact me to buy it.

at this point I have the police show up and am ready to send him in for Grand theft auto. I asked him how much he was planning on paying for it. He said $1,500, I said $2,000, and that he was either leaving in handcuffs or with the truck for $2000

he gave me $500 cash, with the promise to comeback with the rest.

at this point, I have $500 in my pocket, and he is not in jail

Why didn't you just call the police to begin with? People are pieces of shit, trust nobody...especially a tow truck driver who stole your vehicle

If you have $500 in cash with no record of the transaction and the truck in your possession, then you are in a good position. If you have the money and no truck then you have no advantage.

I keep running it through my head, and can't understand. You trusted a guy who was stealing your car, with the car he was trying to steal...

So, he scares old people and morons out of cash by threatening to disconnect cable that they may not even have.

Was the writing on the shirt in Sharpie?

Make sure the cash isn't counterfeit.

I mean, if you still have the truck, I don't see why the title of this thread is "someone stole my disco". Sounds like you're just $500 richer.
