Very good looking set up... Who makes the short roof rack? I plan on doing something similar with the small Rhino rack awning and the looks like the hot ticket.

A better picture if you have one please?

A guy on here named KVT makes them. Just send him your $ and he'll ship you a rack in no time

Front runner has a half rack for the low low price of $870!

yeah i have looked at it. A bit pricey for me. I would pay my local guy to build one for less... he built the one on the Nissan which is a replica of the ARB one in Australia that the ARB guys here would not import for me at that time.

The on pictured in the link looks similar to one i saw that was being sold by one of the Disco Web vendors. i always prefer the little guy first, Web site supporters next, and the big corporate guys last.

That Suntop is pretty slick. Too bad it has to have its name & logo so prominently displayed. Copy the design...

My roof rack is a KVT Backpack Rack. One of the old founders of DiscoWeb made racks years ago. It all ended badly when he took a bunch of orders & downpayments and disappeared. Coincidentally, I bought my Backpack Rack from Ben Little, the guy whose Disco rear cargo door photos were posted by my buddy Stu. It's a small world over here. I'll get some better pics of the rack & rear cargo door tables tomorrow.

is that the guy who moved his shop to Calf? I have looked at his stuff but a rack is way down the list. I mostly would need a rack only to carry fuel and water and more so fuel as i dont like it in the vehicle.
I also would like to replicate the kinds of camping lights I have on the Nissan as they are great for the Beach and back woods for camping.

Those are actually very small rock lights re-purposed for camping. Works great. and i have them on separate circuits so i can turn on each side separately. When the awnings are up the lights shine under the cover of the awnings making for a good camp setup

After thinking I didn't need a rear door table this thread has convinced me otherwise. I'm sure the sound system is hollow without the thundering bass of those 6" subwoofers

I hacked out my rear door and fit the stock subs behind the door panel.

You need a rear door table. If you want to enjoy music while you drive, buy an L322. I removed the sub in my table design and haven't missed it:

Thought people would see my sarcasm when I mentioned the 'thundering bass' of the factory subs. Tugela, what material did you use on yours? Do like how it keeps the cubby for the jack accessories in tact

I used 0.063" aluminum panel. Here is a link to a complete write-up on the project detailing materials, tools, costs, and steps.

I originally thought the nylon cord on the table would be vulnerable to heat from the stove, but after several trips it has not been an issue. The cord - properly sized - is also strong enough to hold a 2-burner stove with cast-iron pan and full 2-liter pot.
