Talk me out of it fellas!

Earlier this morning, I made arrangements to have a VM diesel shipped to me.

Don't really know why I did it, but I did.

Fast forward to this evening. I get a phone call...

I think I might have bought an early 110.

Please, there's still time, talk me down from the ledge. No, SWMBO does NOT know about the 110. She was livid about the VM though.

The 110 is disassembled and if I don't buy it, it's being scrapped. I'm waiting for pictures.

Come on PT, you are looking for validation so...here it is...

Heck ya! Awesome! What are you going to do with it? You are doing the honorable thing by not letting the 110 get scraped.

Here's the thing, PT... You could always sell the bits of the 110 to people here in the states and probably turn profit, or you could build it out a bit and either have a phenomenal truck, or sell it for profit.

My SWMBO tends to be less pissed at me if I buy something that ends up being a really good deal. Hope that's the case here amigo!

go for it: how different is the VM engine from the VM that came in the Jeep Liberty for a few years? Anyone ever lodge one of those in a Rover?

I spoke with the guy again. He says there is some rust on the bulkhead...

To be painfully honest, if there is a bulkhead there, this will give me the last of the bits necessary to build the Defender I've been picking up parts for the last almost ten years.

I've got plenty of frames that can be made to work, LOTS of Series bits to fill in the gaps and drivetrain options.

It still sounds too good to be true but I'm holding out hope.

SWMBO is OK with it as long as I don't try to title it as a real NAS 110 as she and I have a lead on a title to a NAS 110.

I think I have the parts to convert it to a Left-Hooker as well.
