LOL, I remember the BP boards from back in '98 and '99. Took about a minute to load a thread.

Probably longer than a minute. I was on dial-up way back then.

I remember selling vintage audio tubes on eBay back when posting pictures was a novelty.

I didn't sign up on dweb until much later, but I had always thought dweb evolved from the disco listserve Mail group. Is that not the case?

yeah.... good times. It was lr-discovery group @ yahoo (and before yahoo acquired groups); it is still active, I believe. KVT make a smaller group and called it discovery-offroad.

Joined in 01 I believe when I got my first disco (first car), a 96 SD. 15+ trucks later and many laughs (you people are fucking maniacs) the site is still going and still an awesome resource. 14 years or rover ownership and I have always done my own work and now consider myself a decent "self taught" mechanic. Keep it goin

04, or maybe 05, for me after getting my first D1. Site was, and remains, an invaluable resource and a fantastic self regulating arena compared to the other pits of bullshit on the web where happiness reigns. Good to see the resurgence of late too.

Still around, bought my 1st NAS RR back in 98, lurked on the site for years, think i had to re-register at least once. Remember the old dial up connection and waiting for photos to load.
Current RR in pieces on the driveway with gearbox and dashboard removed and only a couple of weeks before a long over due return trip to Moab. (if anyones around in Moab last week of February ?)

I don't remember when I joined... before '03 I think. Then there was some sort of site/db snafu and everyone had to re-register. I believe that was 2004.
