Wow, you made me go look. I haven't completely unpacked yet. It wasn't there.

I thought Lovin' Lamb was going to school for Show and Tell.

Yeah, Abbi being four was constantly asking "Why can't I take it out of the box?". :ack:

You might want to check that yellow case. Make sure it still has the bar and not a lovin lamb.

I'm pretty sure we're all under the concensus that Dan Chapman is an asshole. Remember at SCARR the people were slaving on the snorkel while he bullshitted with everyone else and drank a beer. If I had people helping on my truck I'd be right there with them turning a wrench. The dude even posted on DWeeb the proud pics of him having a beer while others worked on his truck. I won't lie, I laughed at them because they were funny and the people working on his truck are complete tools, but I like how you're ready to throw Jerry under the bus when Dan Chapman is a constant trash talker to anyone who is excited about getting out and going off road or meeting new friends at a rally such as when I went to Moab in 2008.

I was under the assumption people would be proud that I was going to take a vehicle to go off roading and I was willing to not let it be a mall cruiser it's whole life. Then I go posting on Dweeb and people start the trash talk.

"Freelanders will overheat, they won't make it on trails, you're an idiot taking a Freelander, get a real truck" stuff like that as opposed to what I would do in a similar situation, "hey congrats on getting into the world of Land Rovers. If you need help there are people on the trail that know what they're doing and can get you through a sticks situation without a scratch."

People like Dan Chapman are what prevents people from joining a club like Texas Rovers or just getting in with a generic group of off road enthusiasts. Think of it this way, people like DC display themselves as elitists who know it all and are a complete BAMF when you have some people out there, be it in a Freelander or a Defender or Range Rover that just want to learn what their vehicle is capable of.

You can imagine how proud I was when the Freelander made it places the bigger trucks needed winched out of. How proud I was when people would stand around to see if the Freelander would make it up an obstacle and the shock on their face when I made it without a problem. The only trouble I had was on my first obstacle and I went too fast. That made me learn very quickly not to do that again.

Trash talkers like Dan Chapman, are one of the reasons I still have the Freelander and invest as much money as I have into it. Also, why I went out and bought an LR2/Freelander 2 especially since I'm 300 miles from the nearest dealership.

One thing everyone should remember, in the club or out, on the trail or highway, online or in person, diplomacy is always a good idea and brings people back wanting more of what they came for.

This is something a douchebag does:

This guy, just like StreetWolf, are so fucking rookied out they were the talk of the weekend.

I won't lie, I laughed at them because they were funny and the people working on his truck are complete tools

This is funny as hell. Just before leaving for Uwharrie a week prior to SCARR, I was lifting a Pelican case full of tools onto my roof-rack and hurt my back, again. I've got two herniated disks in my back that give me constant trouble anyway, but when I tried to lift the case weighing over 120lbs, I blew them out again. Before we left on our trip I had my medical records sent to Dr. Aaron to see if there was anything that could be done - of course there is not. Per Dr. Aaron's advice, I was not to lift anything over 10lbs for a few weeks. Now, I'm fully capable of installing a snorkel on a truck. It's not hard. But this week, I needed help just to put my socks on in the morning because I could not bend over.

At SCARR, I purchased a rear ladder and a Mantec snorkel off Justin at Lucky 8. Jordan, from Rovertym, volunteered to install both items right there on the spot.

The ladder install was quick and easy. It probably took 10-minutes. Of course the snorkel install was more involved. My front bumper/winch needed to be removed, fender, 2nd battery, etc... This turned into a team effort by Justin and Jordan, and one other really nice guy who I did not get the name of. All three guys were really into the install and doing a good job...until Justin scratched my fender. But installing a snorkel is a one-man-show. Two guys makes it a little easier, but once you get three sets of hands on the job you start getting in everyone's way. There was not a lot I could do anyway. I could have ran the drill, but that's about it.

Since Justin started Lucky 8, I have not bought a lot from him. But in the month preceding SCARR, I dropped about $1,500 with Justin and sent several other customers to Justin. I have not gotten a lot from Jordan at Rovertym lately, but if Jordan were to search my name in his Quick Books, he would see that I've spent about $6,000 to $7,000 at Rovertym. I also talk to each of these guys weekly on the phone about random shit. I'm not saying these guys own me a damn thing, because they don't. But it does not make them "tools" for wanting to help me out when I'm walking around like a little pussy. They know they'll benefit from it all in the long run.

but I like how you're ready to throw Jerry under the bus when Dan Chapman is a constant trash talker to anyone who is excited about getting out and going off road or meeting new friends at a rally such as when I went to Moab in 2008.

Liftedfreelander
also tries to act like he understands what's going on with Jerry Tiedeman. He doesn't. Very few people do. Personally, I don't know what's up and I always thought Jerry, in the few times that I've met him, was a good guy. But apparently someone pissed in his cereal and Jerry has went off the deep-end. It's no surprise to me that LiftedDarby wants to take up for Jerry, even though he has no idea what's really going on.

I was under the assumption people would be proud that I was going to take a vehicle to go off roading and I was willing to not let it be a mall cruiser it's whole life. Then I go posting on Dweeb and people start the trash talk.

People trash talk you because you drive a piece of shit. If someone came here pounding their chest because they drove a Jeep Liberty or Ford Escape through a mud hole and claimed it went every where a Discovery went, they would get laughed at too. Your vehicle is a turd. Period.

This shit cracks me the fuck up! You want to come here and get praise because you're such a pussy. You've never been accepted at school or at home and you're looking to Dweb to give a warm and fuzzy feeling. Now you're pissed off because people continue to laugh at you here. This cracks me up.

This is funny, too. Even though I do not belong to any clubs, it's me who pushes away people who are wanting to join a club. Especially a club 1,400 miles away from me.

But now you have me wondering who the cool guys are. It's obviously not anyone at Rovertym or Lucky 8; it must not be anyone who we camp with every year at SCARR because these people get along with Dan Chapman; it can't be anyone who looks at any Freelander and laughs... So who are the cool guys who keeps you coming back to events such as SCARR? It seems you've really limited yourself as to who you can get along with.

This is a bucket full of funny fuck. I remember when I saw you first at SCARR this year. Will, Chris Snell, John Keeny, Tami, a guy in a Series, and I were coming out of a river bed when we saw you. You were sitting at the base of a hill that a DII was struggling with. I sat and watched the DII for a bit and from 400-yards away I could tell the driver was a rookie and he was doing a lot of stuff wrong. Once the DII turned around, so did you. You knew you could not do something a DII could not do so you turned around. That's when John, Tami and I passed you clowns and trucked over the hill. You girls turned around and went the other way because you knew you could not do what a Discovery could do. You pussed out.

Trash talkers like Dan Chapman, are one of the reasons I still have the Freelander and invest as much money as I have into it. Also, why I went out and bought an LR2/Freelander 2 especially since I'm 300 miles from the nearest dealership.

The reason you bought a Freelander is because you could not afford a Discovery and kit it out. The bank would not lend you money to build a Discovery or Range Rover. So you buy a Freelander and kit it out with useless bullshit. Besides that, Steve Young would not give you the approval to buy a half-decent truck. Even if you did buy a Disco or a RRC, you would not know how to properly kit it out and it would end up looking like that dipshit StreetWolf's truck.

One thing everyone should remember, in the club or out, on the trail or highway, online or in person, diplomacy is always a good idea and brings people back wanting more of what they came for.

Huh???? LOL..... You can't make this shit up.

I dont know what to think of this. I have never been to a Rover Event that did not involve me with a wrench and someone else truck.
I will let it go with these 2 things
1) 1 am at the winter romp fixing a truck I have never seen for a guy I have never meet did not feel like a Tool move.
2) If fixing trucks is a tool move Will Tillery is the biggest I have ever met

It was good to meet Justin in person and the DII is a great example of what to work towards. I can't think of an event that we weren't either fixing someones truck or mine and there are always people helping I have never met. Myself and another HLRC/TR member were up in Hot Springs a couple months ago and my rear diff exploded. By that evening I had another rear diff and we had it installed in less than 2 hours. I did know a couple guys from previous SCARRs from the Little Rock crowd but everyone was great. At this years SCARR we had one of our Houston members blow a rear diff first trail out and didn't realize that the guy helping out with the change out was Chris, until I saw the Lucky 8 photos of him in the back seat with Rover Dog. Wish we could have come down to camp one and hung out but couldn't leave the kiddos in the tent asleep.

I forgot about Chris.
He said to me " Hey I go to look at a diff , B right back"
2 hrs later he shows up and said "Ya had to swap it out"
Then he helped put a front RTE bumper on a truck for a customer.
Yep another Tool bag
