Texas Rovers 2010 SCARR Event April 15 - 18th 2010

Show them pics of the check-out line at the L8/RTE display. Several thousand dollars in merchandise were sold in about 3-hours time.

The question I've always had is what do you take to sell at an event like this?

Gary always wants to set up a mobile shop... In the event I ever get to go to an event again, I wanna wheel, play and party!

Thanx Chris, maybe next year!

RTE and Lucky 8 were set up near the stage for the event, and were selling things during meals.

Coffee didn't wake me up, but that sure as hell did!

Had a great time, glad to see you guys.

LOL!! I laugh every time I think about him mimicking the voice. I told some people at work (yes John I did) and they laughed their ass off and now use "the voice" when ever they walk into my office.

dangit...

fri night, we were pulling apart a blown CV.... second night, we were grilling steaks....

Plus, we didnt register through scarr. it was about a hundred cheaper to just pay the park, and we already had food...

Oh, so you're the JSQ dickhead that attends the event yet does not register for the event like everyone else. Nice.

Oh we tried, but some body (not gonna name names) wasn't very friendly to the fact that we came without pre-registering.... and, we brought food, so what incentive did we have to pay 90 more dollars to get a t-shirt???

I find that kind of hard to believe since I was sitting right there when you guys (and girls) came to register. I'm not going to argue about it because 1) it was not my event; and 2) you had every right to do what you did.

But it's still fucked up. You knowingly showed up to a Land Rover event in your Land Rovers on the same private property the event was held but did not pay the event registration fee. That's so JSQ of you.

I will assume you are referring to me since I was the one running registration during the entire event say thats completely untrue. I remember you all coming up to registration and talking with you. There was no unfriendliness toward you regarding the fact that you showed up unregistered. We knew of a number of people that were coming to the event for just a day that had not registered and were just fine with it. My hesitation was we were not expecting any multi-day non-registered people and I was quickly trying to figure out how to most cost effectively (to you) charge you since you were going to be there until Sunday (by park policies was 3 days wheeling and 2 nights camping, plus guest fees) and still get all the benefits of a registered participant.

You couldn't tell me if you were a member of the club so I couldn't give you the member rate and had to give you the non-member rate that we charged every other non-member but explained that you (and your guests) ALL would have gotten their own shirts and ALL of you would still get in on all 3 the provided meals.. to which you tossed out that you brought your own food, I guess to get the price lowered, which we couldn't do. At which point is when you said you would just go pay the park prices.

I'm sorry if you perceived my hesitations trying to figure out how to get you the most amount of bang for your buck under our registration as unfriendliness, it certainly was not my intentions.

Chris,

Edit, Actually, I should have not made that comment in the first place so I apologize.

I can understand the stress, so no hard feelings. I wish I would have known who you were... I wanted to look at the XZL's..... but never found them and we got busy during all of the meals ect when others were meeting at the pavilion.

And I don't know JSQ, or what his deal is...

We paid, no freebie here, sorry Gem.
