The craziest thing is that none of these guys will ever legally own a gun again. Surely they knew that going into this.
The overhead video is pretty interesting; doesn't really confirm one side's perspective over the other though. The antis are all saying he was shot in the gut first and thats why his hands dropped to his side, the LE folks are all saying he reached to his waist. We'll see what ballistics says I guess.
I watched it. They say he reached into his jacket twice and there was a 9mm in there. He damn near hit a guy when he went off into the snow bank. What Chris said is going to bother these clowns. Never being able to own a firearm again.

I saw comments by folks on various websites saying how he was shot in the back, gut, just murdered.
That makes absolutely no sense when you consider that right after they shot Fincum, the LEOs spent 10 minutes using flashbangs and non-lethal rounds (bean bags with pepper spray) on the vehicle to get the other occupants out without killing them. Those occupants were armed, the FBI/OSP could have shot that truck up like swiss cheese and been perfectly justified (he almost hit an FBI agent - that justifies deadly force).
So why "murder" one guy, and then take pains to not kill the rest?

I have NO sympathy for this individual. Selfish mother-f'er who put his own wants and demands, and needs over others. These clowns are not "fighting" for "rights" - what they did was for themselves. Don't make the mistake of thinking otherwise.

From some of the statements from the family it sounds like they don't give a rats ass about your sympathy and they are standing behind LaVoy.
When I know a bit more, maybe I won't have any sympathy, but right now I have some for him and his family. I can plead ignorance on a lot though, I only know a bit about the whole situation, but enough to know what I would have never joined their cause.
I saw a couple overhead videos. One of them was about 36 min long and the quality was a little better. He tried to get into his pocket twice. First time it looked like he decided against it. Second time he was going for it I think. That's when he got shot. He tried to run up to the tree line and was surprised that they had men in there. That's when he started digging in his coat.
