The Lou!
I haven't been around in a long while on a regular basis due to a promotion at work that sucks my soul dry, so a lot of you new kids have never even heard of me. But for those of you that I've known for what feels like an eternity, the time has come that I bid you all farewell.

For many years Dweb was on my screen at all times, day and night. Seeking help, sometimes giving help, a mostly just bullshitting with people that held similar interests. Often times I would just login to see what poor farm animal Chapman was having relations with or to read Kennith's always eloquently written sonnets about Rovers. There are too many of you to list, but your friendships, assistance, and general knowledge of misc. interesting topics will be missed. From trucks to CHA, this place was often my most trusted source of information and help.

A few weeks ago, I sold my beloved Series IIa, Sir Alfred, as I needed a crew cab truck to haul the dogs, the kayaks, and the camper with. My driveway and insurance budget just couldn't support another vehicle in my fleet so the Rover lost the short straw draw. I have regretted selling it every day since, and still regret selling my Disco several years ago. I'm sure that the ache will always be there. I guess writing my farewell to you all is the closure I need since Sir Alfred no longer greets me each morning from his spot on the street (you know the spot, the one with the big greasy stain on the asphalt that smells a lot of 90 weight). Since rebuilding the transmission a few years I haven't been able to kill him so I guess he no longer needed me anymore either. A vintage car dealer bought him so I do feel sad not knowing where he will call home. So if you come across him in your travels be sure to let me know how he is doing without me.

Thank you all for your camaraderie through the years, I will miss you guys! Find me on FB if you like and peace out!!!

Jen

p.s. does anyone know how to take my avatar and turn it into a full size pic again? After many computer crashes over the years I have lost the original. Dewey won't be with me much longer and that is the only puppy pic I have of him. Since we are all dog lovers here, he acquired vestibular disease from a probable brain tumor 18 months ago and hasn't walked since (he's not paralyzed tho), he is still happy and not in pain, but he is starting to weaken. Some of you follow me on FB so you've seen how awesome my little man is even though he is gimp, and how pampered his ass is. Hell, he might be faking it to keep enjoying all the special treatment. :)

I'm working on it a bit, but as I'm sure you know, this level of enhancement is more art than science.

I wish it worked like it does on television. I really do...

Cheers,

Kennith

You don't have to leave just because you don't own a Land Rover.

Half the people around here don't really have Land Rovers, when you get right down to it.

They have assemblies of poorly maintained parts that are usually the right shape, and can sometimes be made to move when provoked in certain manners.

Cheers,

Kennith

I think it's funnier in person when people ask me(as a photographer) to make their janky jpg'd out 200x420 image into a 24X36" 300dpi image......MAGIC

I always wonder if the op comes back to read the goodbyes after their goodbye post

If so, happy trails to you- and dweb doesnt require you to own a Rover-it just makes it more likely to suck you back into Rover despair.
