I can't wait. Although right now I'm getting my fill of Don Draper and Mad Men and once I get caught up I plan on starting breaking bad. So much to do...

Breaking Bad is the best show i have seen thus far. Not a sucky slow episode so far ( season 1 through a few episodes of season 5).

I hate Dish Network. Before next week I have to figure out how to get the show. Pretty good, but they left a lot of holes to be answered throughout the season hopefully.

and is probably going to be tapping the ass of Hershel's daughter in short order.

That was more of a rhetorical joke, as Rick and Laurie never seem to have any idea where their kid is.

Call Dish, bitch about them removing AMC from the lineup and threaten to leave for DirecTV or cable. They should almost immediately offer you a free Roku streaming player for your TV, plus a sizable credit on your account - $35 or so - that should more than compensate you for purchasing Season 3 through services like Amazon ($1.89/episode if you buy the season) or iTunes. If all you watch AMC for is TWD - I do - that's actually not a bad deal, and you get a free Roku in the process. If you already are able to stream Amazon on your TV and don't need a Roku player, perhaps they will issue a larger credit.

Both Amazon and iTunes normally offer new episodes just a couple of hours after they originally play on AMC, and earlier seasons are FOC to view if you are a Prime member on Amazon.

I will probably get it through itunes. The issue for us is that a few years ago my wife complained to Dish about our service and experience with them. They dropped our monthly rate to $15.39. We have been paying that rate now for 3 years. Moving over to DirecTV will cost me way more than the cost of the season on itunes.

I might also research the Amazon streaming. We live pretty far out and I'm not sure we have the bandwidth to handle it.

I'd like to know how he managed to do that, since AMC network channels were all removed from Dish's channels lineup several months ago due to a dispute over fees and an ongoing lawsuit, so we also missed Breaking Bad. Maybe he was streaming it through Amazon VOD like me? That streams in HD, though.

Last night's episode was a one-time "freebie" stream for Dish customers on AMC's web site. But I hear the stream was somewhat choppy, probably due to the volume of folks who tuned in to watch it live. Considering that 14 million Dish customers couldn't even watch it, the episode last night apparently pulled in impressive numbers, some 11 million viewers.

Yeah. I have non HD Dish and I don't have it. Your friend is smoking something.

Must be some crazy shit if you're just sitting there and zombies start coming out of your TV. Silly fucker probably doesn't even have a TV, he's just staring at the microwave.

Dish and AMC have kissed and made up, channel is back on 131 effective tonight.

I didn't realize until 20 minutes into the 2nd airing. Did I miss anything in the first 20 minutes? I came in when the prisoners were showing them the food.
