Well, that was a kick-ass season premiere, best one since the series started IMHO. Hope they keep up the pace the rest of the season and don't end up settling in a farm growing zucchini anymore.

Don't worry; it'll return to the "talking dead" soon enough.

I honestly don't know why I keep giving that show my time.

I watched it. I thought it was weak.

Rick had such a cool line at the end of the last season, and he'd just crossed what was pretty much the last fucking line.

All the blood in the world doesn't make up for what I believe should have been an episode illustrating Rick's party becoming monsters and tearing shit to hell and back with no regard for human life.

Without spoiling anything, I was left pretty disappointed within the first few minutes. Obviously, the opposing action made perfect sense from a strategic point of view, but that damned show isn't about making sense.

Missed opportunity.

Cheers,

You can't make this shit up:

A New Mexico man who had been watching the hit TV series The Walking Dead beat his friend to death because he believed the victim was turning into a zombie, police said on Monday. Damon Perry, 23, of Prewitt, New Mexico, is charged with murder after allegedly attacking Christopher Paquin, also 23, with kicks, punches, sharp-edged objects and items including a guitar and a microwave oven, police said. Perry told investigators he had been drinking large amounts of alcohol when his friend began to change into a zombie.

Amateur.

If he'd really been watching the show, he'd have slid by on roller skates 100 feet away at 30mph and made a perfect head-shot with a rusty pistol he found in a ditch five minutes beforehand.

That's just how Team Rick rolls.

FYI: Glenn is not dead...

Well, since the cat is out of the bag...

When I saw that, I figured there was a possibility it was the other guy being torn apart on top of him. If not, it was a bit of a poorly shot scene for a main character death. There should be no question that the character met his demise.

That scene left too many questions in regard to an essentially binary event, and thus the impact of any potential loss was blunted severely.

I hope you are wrong for believability sake. I almost quit watching this show when they found a working Hyundai in season 2. Lameness. If he is alive and they don't show a very detailed ridiculous episode showing how it happened it may end it for me.

To be fair, at the Hyundai point, it hadn't really been that long since the shit hit the fan. Product placement can be fun, at times, anyway.

As for Glen, all they need is a distraction to show that the zombies turn around and find something else to do before they eat through the other guy. Problem solved.

What I find interesting is the damage on Rick's hand. I was a little groggy, and couldn't tell if he'd been bitten or simply cut. I do know in comics he loses a hand, and he didn't look too happy about the injury in the show.

They mentioned in some interview that the only reason he still has two hands here is trying to film him in everyday life situations, and how it might take up too much screen time during menial tasks.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Ripping out the organs of the other guy and them comes a distraction and they all roam somewhere else. Good with me.
