431 views with only 33 donations.

I stopped reading books when i came here.
I always need a pastime while traveling/working.
This place is worth a donation in entertainment.
and its saved me big bucks in do it yourself tips.
Maybe not everyone that donates money adds to this thread.
Oh, money sent. :applause:
It really is depressing when Dweb is down, what else are we supposed to do?

I'd say for everyone:

1. Even if you just got a Rover Dweb will save you money, if not now, later.
2. If you have been into Rovers a long time, Dweb has probably saved you a small fortune.
3. Where else can you get entertainment like this? The flaming on here alone is worth ponying up to the bar and donating.

#3 is too true! How many people here spend way too much time reading those long flame threads? That's what hooked me when I first came on here. I still remember the guys name getting flamed.
Definitely worth the money spent. What's a server run anyways? I'm not in tech, so I really don't know. If everyone donated $20 would that be enough?

For those curious, allthough it would be nice to have a $12k rocket ship, we don't really need it to reliably host Dweb. I figure about 2k should get us a nicely configured box that will hold us for a while. I have been looking at the HP Proliant 1U small business servers, which seems like a cost effective solution to me - but I am open for suggestions.

We are up to about $1,300 in donations so far, all those $10 and $20 (and a few larger ones, too) donations really do add up, so thanks to everyone who has donated so far.
