My '65 runs a EFI 4.2 and from what I've read If you run high flow cats, or no cats in my case, then backing out the sensors tricks it into running more efficiently. I was growing tired of 10mpg and had an hour to spare so i figured i'd give it a shot.

I thought that was for rear O2s. Does your 4.2 have rear or just front? If it's for the front, would like a pic of what you did & hear what your results are in the future.

I heard spark plug non foulers could be modified for the same purpose.

the cost of the one's online seemed outrageous for what they are. I just welded a 12mm X 1.25 nut (same thread as sensor) on about 3/4 in of pipe, then welded the pipes to the sensor ports. Need to fill the tank up today and then see how it does. I'm probably just wasting my time but i thought i'd entertain myself. Just have two sensors to make the 14CUX happy.

I got most of the engine put back together. I should be able to finish it up today and then move on to the gauge installs.

ESPN radio app was great to listen to the World Cup matches while working in the driveway. It has a major broadcast delay… about 10 minutes from actual match time.
