Hmm
The slimline was based mostly on the $G and the $G is ass ugly so ??? The apple never falls far from the tree right ? It doesnt even fit to the scale of the truck. Its just wrong. However , they seem strong and they do what they are put on there to do (Which isnt to look good) and they are plenty cheap for what you get so I think its a decent deal...

I have always liked the look of the SG discovery front bumpers (minus the ridiculous skid plate). Hell I even get compliments on the looks of the RT bumper from time to time. It is a little different than most, because it was made to accomodate a body lift.

In any case I like the looks of it better than an ARB. IMO you may as well mount a railroad tie to the front of your truck instead.

You get no argument from me on the ARB deal... Its just too big.... way to freaking big.... If you take the skid plate off of the $G its twice as useless...

The skidplate frame adds rigidity. the skidplate itself may as well be made of newspaper!

Leaving the frame and removing the plate puts a whole new spin on ugly....

uh... yeah

Hey, I didn't say it makes it rigid. Just more rigid than without it.

That is an ugly pic. I thought I did damage to mine.

edit: Damn, look at that nice alloy in the background :)

It served its purpose when I had it, just like the one I have now is serving its purpose. I did manage to get a surprisingly large amount of cash for it, damage and all, AND got about $2K from my insurance on top of it. :D State Farm rocks. No, they haven't dropped me. Didn't even raise my premiums. They even paid me for my time to swap it out, instead of making me take it to a shop. nice.

Harsh? Looks to me like Kyle is so relaxed he might just be posting this from his hot tub filled with bubble bath and a rubber ducky floating aroud. Just don't drop your computer in the water.

DWebbers what is your opinion of this prototype front bumper for a DII? I made this for a friends shop truck earlier this year but cost of steel and several other factors kept me from producing more. Hopefully by spring next year I can start up my shop again if there is some interest...

PS im not trying to post for any sales i'm just looking for opinions on it. Even if I wanted to produce them now i cant ....
