Wrecked my Disco.

I wrecked my '98 Disco Friday night. I was driving down a rural road, when I hit a deer and I think in the process of swerving after impact I went into a 2ft ditch. Which sent me rolling.

I was wearing a sealtbelt and after crawling out of the passenger side I only had a cut on the forehead and a sore shoulder.

LR makes one tough ass vehicle, I'm lucky to be alive.

I've done something similar.... after many-a-newcastle.... Glad you're alright. I was too. The disco is a life saver for sure. Look at that ladder though.... untouched! wow.

Chalk up yet another person I know of who's survived a roll-over in a Disco. Glad you're all right.

When the insurance company is done, give me a call and let me know how much you want for the remaining salvage.

PT

I was thinking about keeping the offroad parts and lift kit, etc,

I'll talk to insurance tomorrow.

My homemade bumpers have hardly a scratch. The passenger side around the headlight is the point of impact with hind quarter of deer, hair embedded in hood gap.

that is great that you came out ok. i can't help but look at those pictures with the initial reaction of a jaw drop that slowly creeps into a smile. had you been driving something of lesser quality you easily could have died.

good thing you drove a land rover.

i just posted those pics on my local board, people can talk shit on land rovers if they want...but their jeep wrangler isnt gonna have the same outcome like you did.

Glad to hear you came out alright!

Yeah - ask about buying back your truck from the insurance company for sure - should be able to get it pretty cheap and the parts will come in handy on your next truck or make you some money parting it out...

you see other cars in a roll over and you see a huge streak of parts all across the road and wreck site....his landrover still has just about every part on it that occured just prior to the wreck
