One day, I'd like to try the Yeti Rambler 30Z cup. I start the day with my own brewed ice tea, but sip it through the day so it would be nice to have still have ice in it when I head home.
But for now, reusing a large Micky-D styrofoam cup (til it starts leaking) makes more economic sense.

I have a yeti rambler 20 oz and use it every day. Went to the range today and it was in the upper 90s and it still had ice several hours later.

Dude, just get one of the HydroFlask products; best ice keeping containers imo. I have the 40oz. wide mouth bottle and if you pack it with ice in the morning, it will still keep it throughout the day. Awesome piece of gear.

Yeti, LOL. The damn coozies are $49.99 what a joke. About as cool and dramatic as the Salt Life Stickers. Save some $$ and stick with a Coleman Xteme and don't jump on that wagon, it's just a phase everyone is going through. My xtreme holds ICE on 95 degree afternoons for 3 +days. Oh, and it has wheels. What a concept.

I have the 32oz rambler cup and it at AWESOME!!!! It keeps ice all day while I am at work and when I get home it is a great "bourbon and coke" holder! My mom gave it to me for my birthday. There is no way i would pay $50 for a cup!!! Thanks mom!

Agreed. We had a Yeti in one truck and a Coleman Extreme in another that week during a military training in NC. Ice lasted about 3 days in each until we started to see some form of meltage - more so in the Coleman, but not drastic. Worth the price difference? Doubtful, but they do seem as trendy as back yard chickens. Remember Crocs? hah

I bet in really hot days the Yeti will start really outperforming the Coleman though. 95 degree days in the bed of the truck (with lots of opening and closing) we are restocking all the ice in less than 24 hours in the Coleman.

I've got the Yeti can coozie and love it. Granted I won it in a raffle, I would buy it anyways.

I also have the Pelican cooler, great product.

I have the Yeti 45, it works well. I got it because of the reputation of holding ice longer, and it does. I can leave it for 3 days sealed in a hot truck and there is still plenty of ice left. If I could do it over I would get a larger size. I also got the rambler coffee cup, its nice but there isn't a way to seal the hole in the top (so it will spill out if you're in rough water or terrain) and I'm not able to drink my coffee unless I remove the top to let it cool down. The price is steep but I was tired of POS coolers that only last one season.

What size would you have gotten? I have been looking at the 45 and the 50. The 50 positives are you can put a bottle of wine in it upright while the 45 you can use both the optional divider and basket at the same time.

Hmm, Fathers Day is coming up. An idea to give to the wife, especially since the current Micky D styrofoam cup is starting to sweat ice tea through its wall.

I spent 3 days camping with some friends a couple weekends ago. They brought a new Yeti 45 packed with food and drink and most of a 20lb bag of ice. All the ice was gone by noon on day 3. Everything left in it at that point was cold enough to survive the 4 hour drive home, but it wouldn't have made it another night/day without a refill.

A lot of things can affect how long it holds ice, which apply to all coolers. If you want it to hold ice for as long as possible you need to pre chill the cooler with a bag of ice that you can toss before reloading. Its also important to make sure the items you are putting in the cooler and cold before they go in the cooler.

Jymmie showed me a thread on D90 source that said walmart has 65 qrt Pelican coolers on clearance for $184 . It's different from store to store so I guess I'm going to start calling around . I think I would like the Yeti better but if I can find this for $184 I'm getting it . I cover a lot of area in a day so hopefully I find one .
