- Drain and refill your transfer case. - Buy a fuel pump if it has it's original, just in case. - Lube up your window lifts. - While you're in there, check your door lock actuator function. - Lube the rear door latch and hinges. - Check your P/S hoses.

I guess you could always pull the fuel pump fuse while you hear it "running". If the noise stops, it's the fuel pump. If it doesn't, it's the dildo.

Ya, PT. It's always the simple things. I thought I was smarter by checking what I thought were the associated fuses, but wrong. From now on, I'm looking at every fuse before I touch anything else.

My daily driver is a '96 which I bought new. Fuel pump should be about dead by now. Window lift motors probably ok.. Swap out the roto-flex for a U-joint.. Dashboard falling apart yet? ABS sensors may need replaced or just pull the ABS fuse when they go. rust around rear door sill...

Yeah. That piece is supposed to be spot welded to the end of the main support on the regulator mechanism. I guess one of the wheels must have gotten stuck, or jumped the track, then the whole thing levered it self off. :ack: Those three marks are where the welds were..
