When I start up the disco alt only puts out 12.5v then steadily goes up to 13.7 and tach kicks in. It's a new M-M and battery is new. Another thing is when I turn on headlights it kills tach for a min or so and I do need to replace a bulb but wouldn't think this would affect the alt. Maybe some...

I can find info anywhere. Does the rear window run off of front reservoir or is there a rear one I can't find. I did a search and look in the RAVE. Shows front one but no rear so I assume it doesn't exist or I just didn't look in the right spot.

Well I poked around and found that the fan shroud has been hitting belt so I painted it red to see if it marks the belt. What I believe is doing it is a sagging hood liner. As I was looking a liner I also saw a mark from the power steering reservoir cap so I think this may be the culprit. Thanks...

Anyone ever have the belt put shavings all over engine compartment ? I just put on a new one and it seems it getting shaved somewhere but it rides in the center of all the pulleys. I also took it off and checked to see if tensioner pulley was loose/wobbling(had it happen on another vehicle) but...

I did one better and bought a brand new 120 amp MM. Returned the NAPA one and got my money back. Case closed!!!

Well I installed the M-M and returned the reman to NAPA for a refund and everthing seems to be OK. It did let out a screech (for some reason)once but hasn't happened anymore.

but to me it's called learning. As you add load to your alt. is the voltage supposed to drop. I know my reman is shit and have a new m-m on it's way but I was playing under the hood today and at no load it reads 13.7 but as I added the heater fan it went to around 12 then lights it dropped to...
