98 Disco 1, 150k miles. CEL on all the time with various combinations of 1138/1158 For months I have had a problem with the speedo either not reading at all, or jumping around and sticking at 130+, or sometimes even working, the odometer worked all the time, but decided to try a new VSS...

Speedometer works fine for a while, then jumps to over 130 mph and sticks there, when i get to 50, it now reads about 90. so its going backwards. Eventually it will go back to zero and either hangs there, or works as it should. VSS is obvious suspect, but not changed yet. Any one seen this ?

My 98 Disco 1 sun roof ecu has the classic heat failure - both roofs open when the key is inserted when the ECU is very hot. Does anyone have a diagram of the internals of the ECU, I have the Rave diagram showing the motor, switches, etc.

98 D1, AT 109 K runs great, but in the last two weeks saw some coolant coming out of the overflow ( was towing another car on trailer at the time) lost none since, but a couple of times it has not started on first pop - either did not start at all, or started and splutterd for a second or so...
