Fixing something is never a waste of time. I would prefer that a plug associated with the security system is not dangling around loose in the wheel well area.
Thank you sir, I believe you are right. 666 seems a bit ominous :)
I looked through all 999 connectors in rave and missed that one.
Now to find where that fucker plugs in, looks like I need to pull the rear trim panels.
D2 2003 mystery plug dangling down in the right rear fender, about 4" to the rear of the gas filler tube. What the heck is if for? It is not the tail light.
My D2 did the same on the driver's side. Water is supposed to drain at the bottom of the A pillar, but was damming up and then leaking through holes behind the trim panel in the foot well. If you look under the vehicle you will see a pinch seam at the bottom of the A pillar, pry it open with a...
Keep in mind that most vehicles at the u-pull would have been stripped down to the point that you can gain easy access to the connector, it is worth taking a look even if you just see how and where the harness runs.
I think you are going to have to pull the upper intake to get better access.
You...
Major differences between 4.0 and 4.6 would be:
Heads if 4.6 has SAI - the 4.0 heads will not have the SAI ports. You can swap the 4.6 heads to the 4.0 engine and that solves the problem.
4.6 rotating bits: crank, pistons, connecting rods and cam are different. The rest is the same. You can...
I rebuilt my engine - and I'm an accountant/programmer. Can't get more geek than that, if I can do it then your granny can do it. Just work through it logically/methodically and it helps to have the right tools and the correct information - might I add that the correct information is most...
Check the MAF, it takes 10 seconds. Mine did exactly the same as you describe and a new MAF sorted it out. Unplug the MAF harness and see if it runs. If that's not it then you wasted 10 seconds...
No!
Just reach behind the driver's side of the upper IM and you will feel the port, it has a cap that you need to unscrew - like a tire valve. Then press in the valve pin - it works exactly like a tire valve.
Unless you have gorilla hands and SAI - then get someone else to do it.
