Looks like something that might have fallen off a cheap ratchet ... like it slips over the end and you can use it to finger-tighten. Certainly doesn't look like anything I've seen on any of my rigs.

At least you admitted it before it went too far ... these kinds of questions tend to drag on for ages because the OP normally defends to the end their position ... which is normally ludicrous. Series trucks had dished hoods and ran really skinny tires. I think on the hood of my 109 the tire...

Kevin thanks for the reply. It's a Rover diesel by the way, and I think I figured out how I'm going to run the throttle. A little welding and some brackets and she should be fine. I'll report back when I screw it up :)

Kevin any chance you've got a picture of the setup? I bought the cable but am having a tough time figuring out the bracket work to get around the heater intake on the injector side.

Okay guys, recently got my hands on a very nice 1964 IIA 109 3-door. While a lot of what the owner told us was garbage, he was fairly honest about the fact that the diesel conversion he'd started was almost complete. I got into it this morning and found his glow-plug wiring was on backwards...

Just wondering if the body panels and tub from a Series III can be put on a Series IIA? Is there a general rule of thumb on what fits what from different years and models? Thanks-
