I just bought a new camera last month but thanks for the info. Hee is one of my favorite shots from my last trip. BTW to keep the thread relavent. I like the black wheels The shot is Looking west toward the Palisades on the road out of the Saline Valley.

Like Peter said, if you paid any attention you'd realize both Agro1 and I post on Dweb as well.

I mostly just lurked on Rennlist b/c the boxster forum was so dead but when I read the thread about that jackass with the painted calipers it was time to chime in. What makes Rennlist so pathetic is that these guys have some insatiable need to pat each other on the back when they're not busy being self-congratulatory and should anyone say otherwise it upsets the dynamic of their Encounters session and they want to ban the boat rocker. Don't even get me started on the haikus.

So I suppose I need to provide links to the hundred or so Dweb threads in which it is made abundantly clear that if you post up pics of something you think is cool just for the sake of self-gratification under the lame pretense of informative tech you are going to get some negative responses. Those responses are part of the system of checks and balances which exist on dweb as well as nearly every other online forum for the benefit of the sheeple who would otherwise run like lemmings to follow the first moron off a cliff.

Having no experience in these matters, and having no idea of costs etc, but would it be possible to anodise alloys and how much density in colour (no, this isn't a typo - thats how you spell colour in most places ) could you achieve if it is posssible?

As Peter correctly pointed out, JSQ and I are both members of Dweb - for this exact reason. On Dweb, (most) members are not a bunch of pussy ass fucking dipshits that hide behind the Admin and report posts of other members when they disagree or don't like what someone else has to say, or the way they say it. Rennlist and the people who run it are the epitome of such cowardly behavior... Here, if you act like, or post pics of some stupid ass mod or pseudo-aesthetic upgrade, your gonna hear about it. That's the beauty of Dweb...I'd like to see someone cry to Kyle or Ho that somebody else on the board was mean to him and made personal attacks...LOL - get some fucking sack and either deal with it accordingly or keep your fucking pie hole shut.

Or more importantly, why post a picture of some stupid ass aesthetic upgrade that is intended to give the impression of something it's not....and then even go further to say, "DID SOMEBODY SAY BIG REDS ?" Maybe that shit fly?s with the ricer crowd, but not with true Porsche enthusiasts and not with veteran racers and I fall in both of those categories. You are bastardizing a car that has a tremendous amount of racing heritage - some find that they can sit idly by while this happens - I cannot and will not. What's next, slapping a Turbo wing and nose cone on it and badging it as a TURBO ? Fuck that man, losers like that don't deserve such a fine automobile.

Why not yellow calipers? Like the Carrera GT or GT2? Or silver like custom-ordered models or Carrera 4's?

I believe Red is generally the correct caliper color only for Boxster S, GT3, Turbos and Carrera S and C4S. Black is usually for base model Porsches. Thus, most knowlegeable enthusiasts would know that his brake caliper color was incorrect. As they would if you painted your Turbo calipers black.

Seriously, why do you care?

BTW-My VW GTI came with red calipers from the factory.
