it's a great place and all, but it is just those Jeep 'type' events that really annoy me. you've seen one you have seen them all. pretty much all fat, drunk and stupid.

we were on one trail with a trail guide (yeh whatever that is) and about 6 stock JGCs in tow. it was a fairly steep downhill trail with some slick spots. not a problem, but the lead Jeep had a 3 year old sitting on the lap of the passenger. i said something to do the 'trail guide', but i am sure he was unable to comprehend my unbroken English.

add some 4 wheelers and all the Bud Light, lighter fluid and mullets you can handle and you have yourself a nasty event.

i am sure The Cove makes a good coin as they should. these people are pigs and i am certain the trash they leave behind is a chore in itself.

OK, I'm reviving this thread for the official count-down to begin...once I finish a big work event on Monday, I'm going to have nothing but Land Rovers on the brain!!

Since they do not have showers ay MAR, is the pond open for skinny dipping like it was at the work weekend?

We would have to have a better crop of women than last year for that to be the case.

There is no "might" about it. I'm not smelling like a donkey all weekend. If I can't get to the pond, I'll find a nice spot in the river.

THANK GOD for that (not smelling like a donkey). I'm going to buy the portable tent for our sunshower TODAY. I bathed in the river a few years back....ahhh, COLD.

Our tent is 17'x12' -- should be room in there for me to change in private I think... (!!)

Hahahaha, Ivan picked it out. It's insanely enormous!! I'm gonna set up separate rooms: dining, storage, sleeping...

I'm not taking any chances on comfort this year...after last year in the rain, I want some space to party inside if need be!
