I'll take that bet.

It was all good a little more attention to detail and it will be great. Can't wait to see the pics from here

I hope it is at Oak Ridge again. That will give us an excuse to do the Cove again.

When is the Spring Rally?;)

very easy Oak next year I will come to Spring or Summer rally at Pearls Pond. I drive 10 hours for a place to go hang out with rovers not Jeeps. I hear LRM cover for December will feature Rubicon Jeep leading a bunch of Mall Discos on a trailride

had a great time too. following a jeep and everything. some things were worse, somethings better than year's past. if you wanted a cheap Sirius radio, they were handing those things out like candy at the auction. the trail ride limitations did suck but I got enough in my 4 days to satisfy.

My wife & I enjoyed ourselves at this years MAR.. The location was fabulous.
There were plenty activities in addition to wheeling to keep us entertained and to meet people. Showers were a nice treat! The scheduled trail rides allowed us to plan our days rather than hang around camp hoping to hook up with a group of people heading out to a trail, hoping that we were not getting in over our heads and not knowing when we’d be back.
I guess the veteran wheelers and long time MAR attendees may have chaffed a bit at the structured trail rides (or skipped MAR altogether) but for us newbie’s (2nd MAR) it gave an opportunity to meet new people and wheel with a little more confidence. You can never please everybody. The jeep thing, well either you will let that bother you or you won’t, to me it was no big deal.

Damn, I could have used one of those. Mine died on the way there. What is it with things breaking on my trip to MAR? At least it wasn't a transmission problem this time.

Had fun while I was there but had a great time at the Cove too!

We had a great time. We started wheeling Thursday afternoon and didn't stop until Sunday about 5:30 that night. The weather held out and couldn't,t have been any better! A good amount of vendors, food on site, and good people. The trails were fun and nobody broke anything too bad.
Can't wait for the fun to start at ORE next year.

It's over, MAR is finished for the year. What fight do you still need to fight?

It was a good time with awesome weather. Deal with it.

I am sure you will be missed and I understand why you wouldn't want to go somewhere were the trails are not graded smooth fruitcake.

And there were Jeeps at the Cove too........oh yea you weren't invited there either

I wonder if those 3 disco that did the Rovertym Challenge ( will post pics of them later - when I find the freaking Camera ) fit the category of Mall Disco's lead around by a Jeep, got to tell you, those guys have nerves of steel, and YES not only were lead by Jeeps but also winched down by a Jeep.:nono: so I think you are obviously SADLY MISTAKEN the Disco at MAR

And , all the guides were so nice ( Alan , Clint, Steve and wife , Brad, Duane, and I can't remember all their names - my apologies in advance ) helped everyone, offer advice on what to expect on each trail, when the trail got rutted or messed up after few runs, they changed the category from easy to moderate or from moderate to hard so people do not get over their heads and trust me, some people did anyway but I guess they made it back safely thanks to the guides.

The whole event was awesome, can it improve? of course; and if we all send our input, I am certain they'll listen ( maybe some Rover's with spare time on their hands want to become guides, I am sure it is feasible ), and I will adventure they will much appreciate it.

I took many, many trail rides that we were only few cars ( I mean in one, we were only 2 and the guides, another 5 and the guides ).

They even placed a Real bathroom besides the Port-A-Potties, some food was great, some much to improve, i.e. no soda vendors or machines, Dinner on Friday was off site, half missed it, no munchies or finger food during raffle/auction, and so on..

As far as those Sirius SAT, man, I won 3 of those things:banghead: , ended up selling them or exchanging them to another member.

I had the opportunity to put faces together with screen names and real ones, it would have been nice to meet everyone there, but I guess the Board guys and gals, couldn't please everyone and made the choice to please the majority that attended, and they have done an awesome job.

The photographer Will, awesome dude, Bill Burke will be banned to carry the Harmonica  *just kidding Bill*, I think ( sorry for repeating myself ) if we make the suggestions to get the things to compromisse everyone's likes maybe they'll happen ( with exception of expecifics placed by the Land Owner ) .

Just my $ 0.02
