D Chapman said:I can deal with not taking a shower for a few days. But I guess it's hard to smell yourself. In the "big tent" in 2007 during the auction we experienced just that. Some of you fuckers really stink! It was pretty bad. 2007 was a hot, dusty, year for MAR. The stench of BO was overwhelming. Thought I was in Canada.
seventyfive said:showers. seriously. if you want to attract the kind of crowd that wants showers, cell phone service, dry ice, catering, etc. we get the point. we will all forego mar and head further south, where the emphasis is more on wheeling, shooting the shit around the fire, and more wheeling. we can shower when we get home.
i honestly hope mar is a success, but will it be fun?

Doug C said:The campground @ Uwharrie has perm showers, flush toilets, and cell service as Tobias said above.
Last year complaint 's that there weren't any showers, this year sniping because there are. Cell service, like the shower trailer, is being provided by members. The cellular guy owns a company that goes in after natural disasters and provdies temporary communications with a portable rig until cell towers can be brought back on line. The club isn't paying for cell service -but we didn't decline it when it was offered either. Not sure where the dry ice comment is coming from.
