Ok boys, I need help on this one. A buddy of mine bought this at a flea market in AZ. Single shot target pistol. Caliber is marked 7x45 , one side of the gun is marked "UNIQUE I.S" The other is marked made in france and (pardon my french) Manufacture D'Armes Des Pyrenees" with Nygord Percision Products- Van Nuys Ca. This is a break action singe shot thing with a trigger that goes off if you sneeze in its general direction. So does anyone know anything about this? Can you buy ammo for it? What's it worth?

load your image to flickr, photobucket, picassa, etc type websites. Once you upload, you should be able to get a link to that image... something like this

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3044/2691063429_0c4d3c1b31.jpg

then, as you reply here, you'll see you'll see the yellow icon with a little mountain in it. click it, enter the image url.

or simply type:

2691063429_0c4d3c1b31.jpg

in your reply. and the image will magically appear.

The Unique factory has closed a few years ago and everything has been sold to
FMR
3, rue Michelet
93500 PANTIN
FRANCE
Phone (33) 149 42 91 81
Fax (33) 148 44 43 58
They should be able to ID it....apparently there are a number of "Unique" pistols...each one is then identified by the next set of letters - in your case Marty that would be i.s - the S means of course "single".

I am going to guess the reference to CA is stamped afterwards as most of these were made in France at the Hendaye factory.

Sounds like a "free pistol". Mostly single shot, long barreled, super light triggered and open sighted. Meant to be shot with one hand and usually with a "relaxed wrist" meaning a big grip angle.

I'm pretty sure thats what the Peoples Republic Of New Jersey State Stormtroopers (aka NJ State Police) carry.I could be wrong since I can't look down the barrel.
