The P7M8, although I never handled one, looks to be a bit small for a primary sidearm.

Never shot the H&K but held one wasn't crazy about the grip safety.I'm more partial to the glock trigger safety.Not that it is much of a safety which I like.Ho how is that HK to shoot as far as accuracy,comfort,etc?

The P7 shoots just fine. People complain about the squeeze cocker, grip angle, blah blah. It shoots great. And as an added bonus, I get a kick out of people that love to hate it.

But, I no longer have it. I practically swapped it for the 3 Glocks you see in the above pic.

Are you sure it's 7x45? that would be a 7mm bullet in a .223 sized case, The Unique model L is chambered in 7.65 (380acp).

I'm a Browning man. No grip safety, no double action, big magazine, built like a brick shit house, will withstand any ammunition thrown at it so you can use hot enough loads to avoid smoke-stacks. Hard to go wrong with one.

It just hit me, 7x45 would be the European way of saying 7MM TCU. It is a silhouette pistol. .223 case necked up to 7mm, common in the TC contender.

7x45 Giat would be my first guess, There is also a 7x45 ingram. My pricebook only shows small pocket pistols and free pistols nothing highpower.

The giat and TCU MAY be the same cartridge, have not seen a dimensional drawing of the Giat though. If you can confirm this then you can buy cartridges from some custom reloaders. It's no plinker though, it's gonna bark and bite a bit. Nothing scary but it's no .22. It's made for knocking a 50lb steel ram target down at 200 meters.

Absolutely not, unless you're referring to the magazine capacity. I own several P7s; they're super-accurate, and fast to put into action mode (like a DAO revolver). The grip is no big deal and is second-nature once you've practiced with the gun long enough. You don't need the death grip on it either, as it only needs about 1.5lbs to keep it cocked.

Don't know what the official carry is/was, but my cousin always had a S&W 357 on his ankle. Always.

Of course that was 20 years ago, he was on the "Teams" as a diver and has since retired.

I would never call him a "Stormtrooper" either. Just sayin' (be careful, you never know who is reading).
